The space “Te-Kiteroa” Māori for Long View, aptly named; is our original family home that you will be relaxing in. It has been designed to capture all the rays from sunrise to sunset, making a warm, inviting atmosphere. In the bedrooms, if requiring heaters, they will be made available. Every room of your accommodation has spectacular views, be it manicured lawns surrounded by mature trees, to the panoramic views of the gulf and islands in the distance, green views leading out to the blues of the ocean; which holds a vista of container ships, cruise liners heading in and out of Auckland harbour, ferries plying their trade between the islands and mainland; and sailing regattas right in front of you within the gulf; all from the terrace and lounge! When you pull yourself indoors from the expansive upper deck, the warm welcoming lounge, with a wood burner stove if needed, and panoramic views distract you from the stress you were getting away from. To eliminate the stress of everyday life, we have chosen not to have internet connection. This in turn, will give you complete freedom from the world's clutches of your mind and time. Enabling you to have the unique opportunity to sit and ponder or enjoy the long gone luxury of sitting and nattering to family and friends, an art that can be quickly lost if not pursued. Should you wish to use Wi-Fi, you are quite welcome to bring your own system, thus maintaining your personal security. There are 3 spacious bedrooms, all with heaters available, 2 with queen beds and north facing vistas, and the third bedroom on the west side has 2 single beds. All have built in wardrobes. Next to the lounge is a 6 seater dining room, and kitchen, should you not take advantage of the multiple dining experiences in the local area, Pine Harbour, Beachlands or Maraetai which all have cafes or restaurants.
