The space The Homestead is your best option for comfortable lodging in the relaxing, scenic Norman's Cove – Long Cove area. Ideally situated just one hour's drive from St. John's, Long Cove offers close proximity to some of the best hiking in Newfoundland, with three trailheads within walking distance of our property, including the acclaimed Seaview Trail. Chance Cove, Dildo, and wine tasting in Whitbourne are just a short distance away. Kayakers, sailors, cyclists, fishers, nature photographers, and outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds love our location. While other properties may offer no view or an ocean view from a distance, The Homestead is oceanfront, with a panoramic view of Long Harbour, Trinity Bay, Chapel Head, and the beach we're next to visible from most rooms. In the right season, you can spot icebergs, whales, seals, eagles and many types of seabirds, as well as capelin rolling. Walk down to the beach directly below our property to see it up close, breathe in the salty air, or look for seashells.
