Description

Mr. McGregor is the villain in the Peter Rabbit stories. This is his apartment. Mr. McGregor’s Garden is a one bedroom apartment in a vintage (c. 1900) building. Plants drape the shelves, adorn the walls, and the canopy bed. Antiques are found throughout. Peter Rabbit’s garments are on display, and the grandfather clock watches over the space. It has a full kitchen & living area, bedroom, and bathroom. There is a large backyard and garden, and free laundry in the building. The space The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of cookware and dishes, as well as spices condiments and some starter coffee and snack. The dining space folds into the wall, and comes with vintage stools. Or you may dine outside, in the rose garden under the solar lights. The living room has a bar with complementary beverages on it. There is fast WiFi, as well as a TV with Roku, so you can stream using your own accounts. There is also a washer and dryer in the building, that is free to use, and ample linens and towels for your stay. Inquire about monthly rentals! This Victorian home was built in the year 1900. It has been separated into four completely separate apartments. There is no sharing of any spaces, other than the laundry room, and the backyard. Please ask about the availability of the others too! Production and photography bookings are allowed, with an additional Production Fee and insurance. Please inquire. Guest access You’ll be given a door code, so there are no keys to lose. You have access to your apartment, the laundry room, and the back yard. The laundry room and back yard are shared with the guests in the other apartments too. Other things to note In accordance with our agreement with the building’s management company, upon booking we will ask you to sign a Renter’s Agreement, as well as for a copy of your ID, and your email address. Mail and packages are delivered to this address, but we really advise that you set up a PO Box at the Post Office or the UPS Store instead. This is a safe area of town, but it is in a capital city. That means that you may hear normal city noises, like homeless people, traffic, garbage trucks, a train, or aircraft. We do provide earplugs for this reason. There is not a dishwasher in this apartment. Although we have never had an issue, it is recommended to lock your car doors, as well as the apartment doors. There are several furniture and decor pieces in this apartment that are antique and/or vintage. Thus, they are cosmetically imperfect. They are not dirty; just antique. We are two blocks from Salem Health, the State Capital, and Willamette University. One mile to downtown.
