Enjoy the relaxation of a long weekend in the country at this beautiful farm set in the heart of a valley. The farm is 30 acres of gentle rolling terrain. Enjoy a walk around the property, watch the horses graze in the pastures or sit by the fire pit or on one of the many decks enjoying the views. Feel the stress slip away as you hear the frogs serenade you while you gaze at the star filled night sky. The space The loft apartment is set up to be a luxury getaway providing you all the amenities of a hotel suite with all the comforts of home. Whether you are a family or a group of friends, the space is laid out to address the needs and desires of a group of people sharing a space. The loft is set over an oversized 3 car detached garage with a separate entrance reached via a shared deck. The loft consists of one large main room along with a private full bath. The room is laid out so your group can be together but still have space to spread out. Inside the loft there is a king bed, a bunk bed (bottom bunk is a double and top bunk is a single), and if needed, the sofa is a queen sized sleeper sofa with an air mattress topper. Don’t miss your workout just because you are away from home. There is a full work out area with Bowflex resistance trainer, Bowflex cross trainer, freestanding exercise bar, resistance bands, inversion table, and rubber gym flooring for yoga. For relaxation there is a sitting area as well as a four person table. The kitchen nook is fully stocked with coffee and tea, a microwave and refrigerator with freezer. There is a large flat screen tv with an extensive satellite package, a selection of dvd’s and Wi-Fi. If you want to turn off the electronics, there are several board games and puzzles for your playing enjoyment. There is a privacy screen for getting dressed. The loft has a private sitting deck accessible only from the loft that faces out over the valley so you can sip a cup of coffee or tea while enjoying the sunrise. After a long day, a larger deck off the front of the loft lets you enjoy the sunsets. The kitchen nook is stocked with coffee, tea, creamer, sugar and honey. Note there is a microwave but there is not a stove or oven. For breakfast there is a selection of breakfast bars and juices provided. If you need these restocked during your stay let us know. The kitchen nook is furnished with plates, napkins utensils and cups. The bathroom is furnished with body wash, hairdryer, bath and beach towels. The beach towels are for your use at the pool during summer months. In the bedroom extra pillows are available in the armoire. There is a salt-water pool available for use during summer months just steps from your loft. After a splash in the pool relax with a drink at the pool bar or one of the lounge chairs. With notice, the gas grill can be readied for your use or a fire can be set up in the fire pit for those chilly evenings. The farm is set nestled in the heart of a valley. The eastern view provides green fields, picturesque hills and the mooing of the neighbor’s cows who like to graze the back fence line. The western view gazes over the pool, pool bar and more green fields and hills which is an ideal location to enjoy the sunsets. Move to the northern view and sit at the fire pit to enjoy the horses grazing in the pastures. On weekends it is not uncommon for the traffic passing in front of the farm to include mule drawn wagons or groups of folks on horseback out for trail rides. The farm is home to four horses and two dogs. We are conveniently located to Chattanooga (45 minutes), Nashville (2-1/2 hours), and a number of wonderful state parks and hikes including Fall Creek Falls State Park which has the tallest free-falling waterfall east of the Rockies and is Tennessee’s most visited state park. Some other areas and hiking located near the farm are: Savage Gulf Cumberland Caverns Rock Island The Caverns There is a list of nearby activities such as guided horseback riding and tandem paragliding as well as local restaurants provided in the loft. Let us know your interests ahead of time and we will try to have information ready at your arrival. Guest access General driving instructions and arrival information will be sent 1 day prior to your arrival. We will greet you upon arrival to make sure the accommodations are as you expected and to provide you your keyless access code for your visit. There is parking in front of the Loft during unloading then cars are parked down a short flight of stairs by the garage. Other things to note A small welcome basket of snacks is provided at the start of the stay but will not be replenished. A welcome sheet is provided in the Loft to give you information for your stay on the farm, local activities and restaurants. You will have the Loft, pool area and fire pit for your exclusive use during your stay but this is a working farm so you will see us out and about taking care of chores around the property. Livestock is contained to the pastures or barns. We have two giant breed dogs at the main residence that we will introduce you to when you arrive. As farm dogs, they have a job to do as well so they will be outside periodically during the day. We mention the dogs because if you aren't comfortable around friendly but extra large dogs we may not be the right lodging choice for you. Enjoy the view of the horses but we ask that you don’t enter the pastures or barns unless we accompany you. The horses are not available for riding but there is a location nearby that offers trail rides. There is direct unrestricted access to the pool area from the loft so be aware of this if you have children. If you have a motorcycle please let us know, we can provide parking inside the garage for the motorcycle if that is desired.
