Shaker-Style Boarding House in Callicoon - Apt. 1
Our modern interpretation of a classic Catskills Boarding House. Two painstakingly restored buildings comprising eight units ranging from one to four bedrooms. 8 separate apartment units each with their own living room and kitchenette. Designed to follow the elegant simplicity of the Shakers, with a focus on natural materials, functional design, and the luxury the comes from well made things. The Boarding House is an homage to the Catskills of old where hospitality came first. The space Apartment 1 is one of two apartments on the first floor of the Upper Boarding House and is one of our two ADA rooms, including a ramp entrance and accessible bathroom amenities. With one king bed and one queen bed, this room is perfect for the whole family or a group trip. The bedrooms are separate, connected only through the mudroom/kitchenette area, and can be closed off from one another by doors for added privacy. The queen bedroom is our ADA room with walk-in shower, and our king bedroom features one of our clawfoot tubs (**Please note: at this time, this bathtub does not have a showerhead and can only be used for baths. Showers will need to be taken in the queen bedroom.) The room of course features our signature kitchenette as well, perfect for cooking small, simple meals. Guest access In addition to your room you'll have access to our communal areas, such as our Parlor Kitchen, fitted with an oven, microwave, and standard fridge, as well as our Library Lounge with well-stocked library and a handful of board games. You're free to use the backyard as well, with picnic tables for outdoor meals, or our Upper House porch, with rocking chairs to enjoy your morning coffee in the sun.
