The Barton House ~ Near Mackinac Island

If you enjoy peaceful, quiet serenity, The Barton House is the perfect escape for two. Step away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and slow down to enjoy the simpler things. This unique stay offers a glimpse into how life once was, reminding us of the effort behind everyday tasks. Located in beautiful Kilpatrick Vintage Acres near Mackinac Island, this thoughtfully built cabin was created with care and love. Come enjoy the nature, views, and peaceful Northern Michigan surroundings. The space This is a walk in only cabin that accommodates 2 people. Park at the top of the valley in the mowed area next to the “Kaiden Valley” sign. Follow the mowed path into the valley. Walk past the outhouse and continue down the path and you will find The Barton House. For your use there is a fire pit with a cooking grate, gas grill, picnic table and a trash can. Once in the can I take care of the trash from there. Waiting for you when you arrive will be two nights worth of firewood and 6 gallons of water for your convenience. The wood stove located inside The Barton House is NOT FOR USE it is a display only. The outhouse is just a short walk away and is shared by Paul’s Landing Cabin at the top of the valley. If using fire pit please put fire out and put cover back on before leaving. Guest access You have use of the entire camp site and cabin. The outhouse is shared with Pauls Landing Cabin up the hill. You are free to wander and explore the salvage yard just be respectful of the grounds and the other cabin sites. Other things to note This is a rustic cabin with no running water or electricity. Cabin is equipped with gas grill, fire pit with cooking grate, picnic table, table and chairs, and a trash can. Six gallons of clean drinking water and two nights worth of fire wood will be waiting for your upon arrival.
