Ideal for families this is the perfect escape from city life. Our repurposed barn is a unique "Glamping" adventure, wake up to the crow of our roosters and enjoy fresh eggs every day. Just outside of St Joe & Benton Harbor, enjoy your stay in this repurposed old hatchery with exclusive use of the in-ground pool. Take advantage of the 30 acres surrounded by a creek & river or make us your home base for exploring the wineries, golf courses, hiking trails & beaches in the surrounding area. Enjoy a glamping adventure with us! We consider ourselves old school Airb&b hosts. We will be there to greet you and love meeting families from around the US. There are no lock boxes here! A big step above tent camping, the barn is cozy with rustic & repurposed elements. The living space is open, and airy with high pitched ceilings, skylights, and plenty of ceiling fans to keep the space cool on warm days, and a newly installed pellet stove to keep you warm on cool nights. Please note the barn has limited air conditioning and there are plenty of fans to keep you cool. The large kitchen is well appointed with a prep & wash sink, stovetop, full-sized fridge, large toaster oven, and coffee maker. We encourage people to slow and enjoy life in the countryside. The bathroom has a large shower with on demand hot water. The main bedroom with a queen bed opens directly to the pool and the second bedroom has 2 twin-beds that can be converted to a king. We added a third bedroom space fitted with bunk beds making this the ideal spot for a family gathering! Also feel free to pitch a tent if you really want to rough it. :) The pool area has been updated to include a beautiful deck and shaded pergola with a large table to enjoy a meal or cocktail with friends. A newly installed pickleball court makes this a unique vacation spot, ideal for all ages! We do allow small events for an additional fee but they do need to be pre approved by the hosts and we reserve the right to decline events if they are outside the scope of what our township allows. Public transportation including Uber/Lyft is not typically available so please do not rely on it. If you get stuck for any reason please just call us and we will help you out! We have well water and may smell a little different than what you're used to but we will provide a water cooler with distilled water.
