Awarded Best Local Lodging/Best Hotel! Nestled in downtown Honesdale, The Loft is the perfect location for your next getaway. Steps from the bus stop to/from NYC and other PA destinations, no car is necessary. Walk to shops, restaurants and even nature. Ample room for 6 guests, gather around in the dining room or sit by the giant windows overlooking Main and enjoy a cup of coffee on us. Embrace the historic charm in this 1890 building. Each room is cozy, comfortable and private. We happily welcome groups and families. Our rates start low to accommodate folks only needing one bedroom. We respect our cleaners time and rates and require full disclosure of your number of guests so we know how many beds will be used. There are two queen rooms and one room with two twins. Each mattress is slightly different to accommodate a variety of sleep preferences. Three private off street parking spots included + convenient and cheap street parking! The kitchenette offers a large refrigerator, microwave, crockpot and hotplate. Who wants an oven when there are so many fantastic restaurants around? The Loft is equipped with a central air conditioning system to keep every room comfortable. Our coffee nook has everything you need to make a perfect cup of coffee. Take a soak in the turn of the century clawfoot tub or watch a movie on the Loft's smart TV. We have one Bluetooth speaker for your convenience. From the screened-in back porch you can see the famous Honesdale Star! Questions? Shoot us a message - we're happy to chat about your stay. PLEASE NOTE: * You must walk up 2 flights of stairs to get to the loft. Keep this in mind if mobility is an issue. *This is a historic Main Street building. We wanted to preserve this charm. If ultra modern is your style, this might not be the place for you. *There is only one bathroom which is not always ideal for larger groups. If you're interested in a larger 4 bedroom house with backyard in the historic district a 15 minute walk from The Loft, we rent our personal home with garage and large backyard with referrals. Message us for a private listing. The full top floor apartment is yours to enjoy, including the back enclosed balcony. Please refrain from exploring the hall on the second floor out of respect for the commercial tenant. We will not be on site to greet you but you can message any time with questions. We just ask that you read our messages and manuals before asking any questions that may have already been answered. ;) Honesdale is a magical town. It’s perfectly positioned for festivals, fishing, eagle-spotting, railroading, skiing, and - of course - beautiful hikes (some within walking distance of downtown). A stroll from the Loft is The Cooperage, an arts venue that’s always offering entertainment, cooking classes, farmers' markets and kids activities. Grab your morning coffee at Anatomy Cafe. Enjoy a quick bagel lunch at Camp Umpys. Treat yourself to a delicious dinner at Native, Dyberry Forks, or Ba & Me. The Twisted Rail is the local watering hole you won't want to miss, and Here and Now Brewery has fantastic microbrews and pizza. Plus there is endless thrifting/antiquing, dining and shopping to check out. There is also a newly added electric car charging station located right across the street from us. No car? No problem. Honesdale has a daily bus service to New York City. The bus departs and arrives mere steps from the Loft. There's nothing stopping you from enjoying Honesdale, the best little town in the Poconos. In the heart of downtown Honesdale you are walking distance to all the shops and restaurants our Main Street has to offer. Plus you can walk right to a hike up to the top of Irving Cliff where you have a panoramic view of the entire town. Or a bit more of a walk out of town is the Apple Grove where you can sit peacefully watching the gentle Dyberry Creek amble by. There is metered parking right out front (50 cents an hour) and across the street we have three spots for guests with the parking permits on the fridge inside the loft. The Loft is a third floor walk-up (no elevator/lift), but we promise it's worth the view! But it's not ideal for folks with mobility issues. The kitchenette does not have a full size oven, but we do provide many other appliances for cooking: microwave, toaster, toaster oven, two burner stove top, crock pot, pots and pans, etc. But please go support the amazing small businesses on Main Street! They make our town the special place that it is. We provide 3 parking passes for 3 parking spots in a lot located across the street from The Loft. On street parking is metered from 9am-5pm (.50/hour) and has a two hour max (with no overnight parking during snow). The Loft strictly prohibits the use of any type of illegal drugs or smoking of any kind. Sometimes repetition is key, so here's a reminder that the space only has one bathroom. We are an eco-friendly and fair cleaning wage establishment. Please do not use any beds you did not reserve (as extra guests) in your reservation. ✌️♻️
