Live more beautifully in the old winery
Live more beautifully in the old winery
Description
In the heart of Vrbanj, there is a mysterious entrance gate, behind which lies a former winery that has been dormant for 40 years and has now been lovingly restored and transformed into a small paradise by a courageous and creative spirit. If you have a sense for the beautiful, special and old, this is the place to be. The house can be used as a vacation or seminar house, conference venue, for company events, workshops and retreats. The space The lovingly restored winery from 1872 offers space for 10 - a maximum of 12 people. We have tried to preserve as much originality as possible and thus the charm and flair of a bygone era. Old natural stone walls and creaking floorboards tell stories from several centuries of village life. Like all antiques, this house also has its quirky peculiarities and traces of use. But it is absolutely unique and will make the hearts of all aesthetes and lovers of the special beat faster and inspire. Through a hand-carved wooden gate, you enter a courtyard planted with fragrant herbs and citrus trees, from which a stone staircase leads to a small terrace and to the first floor of the house. To the right and left of a narrow hallway are 3 bedrooms and a bathroom. In all bedrooms and the hallway, the original floorboards, doors, windows and beams have been preserved. In the first room there is a comfortable 180 x 200 cm double bed. The second room is furnished with a variable bed that can be used as a double or as 2 single beds. In the third room there are 2 bunk beds, which offer sleeping places for 4 people. (For the upper beds some climbing skills are required). All 3 rooms share a spacious bathroom with 2 natural stone sinks, walk-in rain shower and toilet. Another bathroom with shower, 2 toilets, as well as a sink and washing machine are located on the ground floor. A steep wooden staircase leads from the 2nd floor to the attic. Here is a large, bright room with sea views, a 180 x 200 cm double bed, desk and private bathroom with shower, natural stone sink and toilet. The heart of the house is on the ground floor, where the wine was once pressed. The old konoba is now a living room, dining room and kitchen, but can also be transformed into a yoga room or a creative workshop with a few simple steps. It can be reached from the courtyard, the garden or via a narrow spiral staircase from the first floor. A large table on wheels, made of recycled teak wood, with comfortable leather chairs, invites you to dine and chat, play and craft. In midsummer, this room remains pleasantly cool due to the thick stone walls, and in winter it can be heated with underfloor heating and a wood-burning stove. A wooden mosaic and terrace stone floor in combination with the original natural stone walls, furniture made of natural materials, hand-forged, large glass doors and antique elements conjure up an inviting feel-good atmosphere. Next to the main cottage is an annex, which houses another self-contained residential unit for two people with its own courtyard. In the so-called tiny house there is a living room with sleeping gallery ( 160 cm bed ), a kitchen and a bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. An imaginatively designed garden in flowing shapes, with several marble mosaic terraces, an 8 x 4 meter saltwater pool, outdoor shower, fountain and Mediterranean plants surrounds and caresses the entire property. You can relax wonderfully on high-quality, comfortable lounge furniture. A large gas grill is also available. A natural stone wall protects against prying eyes towards the village, while the view over the landscape to the sea remains free and creates a feeling of space. Of course, a parking space for 2 vehicles is also included. More parking spaces can be found nearby in the village. Breakfast and shopping service, massages and yoga by the pool, excursions and hikes can be booked on request. For people with mobility problems or difficulties climbing stairs, the house is NOT suitable.
