With everything you need provided, we invite you to enjoy our little space with big style in the “Best Small Town in America”. The space Location: The Guest House & Stables at Quiet Oak Farm is situated just a few miles / 5 minutes to the center of Downtown Aiken, SC. Conveniently less than a mile to The Aiken Steeplechase / Highfields Equestrian Center, and just minutes to all major competition venues. Part of the Rushton Meadows Equestrian Community with connected bridle paths and beautiful farms. The Quarters: The 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom plus twin loft, & twin Murphy Bed space is fully furnished with ALL the essentials, terry robes, fine linens, cotton towels, toiletries, snacks, and incidentals. Cleaning supplies, laundry detergents, office necessities, sunscreen, and bug repellent include some of the provided goods to make your stay stress free. Full size kitchen is stocked with everything needed for dining in and we have your morning coffee covered. Smart TVs offer streaming services and live tv for your stay. We love to cater to our 4 legged guests too, pet bed & bowls provided. Let us know if you are celebrating a special event and we will make sure to include something special just for YOU! The Stables: The fully fenced (3 board) Equestrian property offers a 110’x 220’ fenced, Grand Prix size synthetic blend riding arena with lighting & irrigation. 60” Drag-n-fly groomer maintained footing, rail seating, and mounting block. 2500 sq. Ft. Center aisle barn includes 5 matted 12x12 stalls with windows, Wash stall, barn bathroom/washroom, closed tack & feed stall, along with 2 storage rooms for tools, buckets, and additional equipment. Enjoy the privacy of a property so close to everything yet quietly set back off the main road to relax and ride! Guest access Guests are free to enjoy walks around the property and connected bridle paths. Equine resident, Hunter the large gelded pony, will greet you in the barn or along the fence line, he is 20 years old with a playful puppy dog like personality. He loves all people and horses. Although very friendly please keep a safe distance and be especially careful of fingers, with or without equine experience it is hard to predict what a large animal might do if spooked. He will know if you have a treat and do everything within his power to get it, we call him Cookie Monster for this reason, his gentle nature disappears for food. ;) SC is a no fault equine state but ultimately we want to protect guests from any unforeseen injury. Guest safety & comfort is our number one concern, fur babies included, please let us know if you have concerns for your pet and we are happy to mare reasonable accommodations. Long private drive with circle turnaround allows for ample car and trailer parking. An additional powder room/washroom in the barn is also available if needed for guests. Other things to note We do not offer riding to the public or guests. Aiken has many fantastic riding and lesson opportunities easily found online! Search Aiken horseback riding to get the full equine experience (highly recommended)!! We happily offer overnight stabling or extended stays with full use of the facility, stalls, and private pasture turnout. Outside trainers welcome anytime with private insurance coverage. Large animals can be dangerous with or without proper training and experience. Guest safety is of the utmost importance to us and the rules in place are to protect you from injury.
