Houthuis Freshwater Gorge

Nestled in the heart of the Cape Winelands and at the foot of the mountain, Varswaterkloof Houthuis is a charming house that offers breathtaking views of the Klein Drakenstein mountains. This house is located on a working trout farm +- 7 km from Paarl. It can accommodate up to 8 guests. There are 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The open plan living area has comfortable seating, a TV with Netflix, an indoor fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen. Free WiFi is available. The house is self catering. The space Varswaterkoof is a working trout farm just outside Paarl on the Du Toitskloof Pass. The farm has two self catering units: Trout Cottage that can accommodate 2 guests and Varswaterkloof Houthuis that can accommodate 8 guests. Guests are welcome to explore the surroundings and watch the feeding times of the fish. The natural chlorine free swimming pool filled by fountain water is a welcome escape on the warmer days. To reach the farm there is a short 400m gravel road. This road does not require 4x4 but cars very low on the road might struggle a bit. Other things to note Being a working farm, you will see our friendly farm dog welcome you upon arrival. During your stay, the chickens may also make an appearance and our farm workers will be around doing their daily tasks.
