Come unplug at the Main House of Hill Spring Homestead, centrally located between Camden (10 min) and Rockland (8 min). Handcrafted open concept home with trees, organic vegetable gardens, and flowers out every window. Breathe easy knowing house and linens are cleaned with all natural products. Home's electricity comes from the solar grid. 2 Kayaks available, we can help transport. Our family (including sweet natured dog and two kitties) shares the property in adjacent guest house. The space Home is situated on 4 acres of forest, gardens, fruit trees, raspberries, grass, and a pollinator-meadow. Surrounded by many more acres of forest, there are no visible neighbors (other than our guest house which is about 100 ft from main house). There is a large bonfire pit for your summer night enjoyment. The first floor of the house has kitchen with gas range/oven, double sink, fridge, toaster oven, and microwave. There is a Weber gas grill is on the deck. We have a 15 gallon stainless lobster pot with outdoor burner for your use as well if you'd like to enjoy a lobster bake at home. If you have the privilege of enjoying a magical, misty, cool Maine summer day while you are here, light a fire in the wood stove and cozy up with a book; for warm days air conditioning via heat pump provides cooling and dehumidification. There is an office with a desk, wifi, and wifi laser printer, as well as a queen pull out couch, and there is a bonus play/entertainment room where a queen blow up mattress can be placed for additional sleeping space. LG washer and dryer in the downstairs bath to take care of all your beach day needs. The three main bedrooms are all on the second floor, with a second full bathroom with clawfoot tub. A cupola is accessible by ladder, and is a sun filled nook to use as a meditation space (for the adults), tea party venue (for the kids), reading spot, place to journal, water color, whatever. Guest access The whole house is yours to make yourselves at home! Please enjoy the beautiful property as well. We will be around working in the gardens and playing, but also work 2 full time jobs and will completely respect your privacy. Other things to note You will truly feel "away" here, while still being close to so many wonderful things to do in the MidCoast- mountains with crazy beautiful ocean view hikes, ocean beaches, lakes, shopping, galleries, and an incredible locally grown food scene. A great place for wildlife spotting, especially birds.
