The space This historic home boasts a modern-colonial-Scandinavian interior, a mix of the reclaimed & the new, a bold accent wall, soothing greenery and lots of good energy! You’ll find your serene guest suite on the second floor: firm king bed, crisp linens, oxygen boosting plants, fireplace and private marble bathroom. The first floor has an open floor plan with kitchen, dining room, living room, and an additional bathroom near the back entrance leading out to the back yard & patio. Enjoy a light breakfast, thoughtful amenities and access to common spaces both indoors & outdoors. Tranquil lounge music adds feel-good ambiance to the backyard. Note: We love children, but our property is only suitable for guests over the age of 25. We also love pets, however, guests value our hypoallergenic environment, so we do not allow pets inside our inn. Guest access You have access to indoor and outdoor common spaces - living room, dining room, porch, backyard patio seating areas including sun loungers, gardens and walkways. We will also provide you with a beach bundle as you have beach access (multiple options) - beach chairs, towels, a blanket and beach umbrella on a little wagon - just ask. Perfect for a day on the beach, a waterfront sunset watch, a picnic or concert in the park. Stairs are a historic part of the property. Our inn has rooms on three levels, most of which involve stairs, however the Cutwater Suite can be accessed through the first level of the property. We are happy to help you select a room that will work for you and gladly assist you with your bags. During your stay My husband, Mark, and I live on the property. We are social, positive and inclusive - always happy to enhance your stay at the house and surrounding areas. Red loves gardening, enjoys a glass of wine and 'antiquing' in the neighborhood. Mark is a 'car-guy,' enjoys a glass of whiskey (+cigar) and working in his wood shop building things and restoring the furniture Red brings home… Other things to note Our hosting is ’Inn-style’. One of the benefits of that is that we make sure our guests start their day with a light & healthy breakfast - a breakfast parfait (greek yogurt, fresh berries, granola (grain & gluten free options available) topped with local honey), fresh vegetable and/or fruit smoothie (with or without vegetarian protein powder), or an avocado toast with sliced tomato & flakes of sea salt. All beverages are made with filtered water including tea, coffee and the spa-like water station. Help yourself to the large fruit tray anytime as well 🍏 Although the kitchen & laundry room are for live-in hosts only, we are happy to find a solution should your needs for these areas arise.
