The Redwood Retreat at Lala Land is a place of peace & restoration. Perfect getaway from the city or stop-over along the coast. Set back from the town of Gualala, nestled among 10 private acres of coastal redwoods. Private deck ideal for sunrise or sunset while sipping your favorite beverage in the hot tub, or stargazing free from lights. Located on the ridge above Highway 1, Redwood Retreat faces the Southern sky & is often sunny, warm, & wind-free compared to surrounding areas. Very private. The space The Redwood Retreat at Lala Land is a fully private suite on a shared property with a luxurious queen bedroom, well-equipped kitchenette, spacious full bathroom, fireplace & small lounge area, and a private deck with a hot tub for a relaxing ambience. This guest suite features a dedicated parking space & contactless check-in with a separate lower-level entrance from the main house. Cozy & stylish with a spa style bathroom with a stunning view of the redwoods from the shower. Step out onto the deck to enjoy the private hot tub, scent of the trees, & the warmth of the ocean ridge sunshine. Please be aware that there are other guests on the shared property, & review your check-in instructions carefully so you go to the correct suite! The guest suite is on a lower level with no shared walls. The suite is accessed via contactless check-in with an electronic keypad; code provided 24 hours prior to check-in. The owners & on-site hosts live at Lala Land in the main house (the floor above) with a pup Mimoso who loves greeting guests! We encourage guests to enjoy our local restaurants & eateries! We provide a kitchenette that includes: a sink, medium-sized fridge with small freezer, toaster oven, 1 pan electric countertop burner, electric kettle, coffee pot, French press, pour-over coffee, microwave, & many other essentials. We provide coffee, creamer, sugar, salt, pepper, and oil. We also provide a deliciously refreshing filtered private well-water from the tap or in a pitcher. Wine glasses, glasses, mugs, plates, bowls, & cutlery for 4 is included. Help yourself to apples from the tree outside your door when in season. The unit is equipped with: a smart TV, an electric fireplace, clothing rack with hangers, & a portable space heater. There is no central air in this unit so please pack appropriately for the current temperatures & notify your host if you need extra blankets or fans, depending on the season. Guest access Please drive slowly (15 mph or less) on the dirt road and SLOW DOWN immediately if you see someone walking. Please pull into the driveway very SLOWLY as the dogs may be roaming. Your suite & deck is private, used only by you. Feel free to walk down the driveway to access the road for a stroll. The rest of the property is private & may be in use by other guests so please remain in your private areas. Other things to note Please disclose your pet(s) and a few details about your pet(s) prior to arrival. Pet fee ($50 per pet) is due prior to arrival/check-in, payable through the Air BnB app or other cash app. We request no pets on the furniture. If this is going to be a problem, please let us know before arrival so we can work with you to make accommodations. Please remove shoes at the door! Please wash your dishes & place on the drying mat/rack or put away before leaving. You will likely have plenty of wildlife to enjoy during your stay, including hummingbirds, deer, blue jays, foxes, raccoons, hawks & eagles, skunks, bobcats, & occasionally mountain lions. Please be aware that the LaLa Land property is our home & is shared by other guests in separate areas, so we may be onsite, along with friendly pets that may roam the property freely. Mimoso, a small tan Yorkie-poodle mix, is very friendly & absolutely loves meeting guests. Neighborhood dogss also stop by occasionally but are not supposed to be over so please feel free to shoo them off. No dogs should enter your private unit or deck, or bother you in any way during your stay, so please let your host know if there is a concern. The Wifi is strong and reliable unless there is a storm so please check the weather before your stay if you need Wifi for work. Be very careful about fire hazards. Never leave any appliances on when going outside! Never leave appliances unattended while on. Do not put anything on top of the toaster oven or fireplace. The electrical system is not capable of handling multiple appliances at once, so please take care to use one at a time & always unplug the portable heater if using another appliance. If the breaker trips, there may be a delay before someone is available to turn the power back on. If traveling during fire or storm season, please check with the host about potential power outages.
