This beautiful, historic home, built in 1736, is in the heart of historic Cambridge and is 1/2 blk from marina, lighthouse and Choptank River. Lots of Restaurants & shops within a few blocks. The house is large & spacious with open living room & dining area; smaller, intimate spaces in back (den, kitchen & 1/2 bath). On 3rd floor, you will find a full 2nd kitchen, full bath, sitting room with twin trundle beds & bedroom with king size bed. The back portion of the property was built in the mid 1700s, the front part of the house was added later in the early 1800s. All in all a home that is one of a kind. The front rooms boast 15 foot ceilings on both the 1st and 2nd floors, the back rooms include a den and kitchen are cozier but all have great character. The kitchen, porch and back bedrooms have views of the Choptank river, fishing boats can be seen motoring by. Fireplaces are in every room but unfortunately are not operable. The house's location makes it easy to get to everything and could not be any better for Eagle Man and Iron Man participants or viewers. The house is so tastefully decorated and so grand that it would be perfect for so many occasions -- a bridal shower, a small company retreat, an engagement party, a getaway for a bride and her bridesmaids, a yoga retreat, a family get-away, a friends' get-away (note: explicit permission for this use is required). It is a very elegant, historic home with magnificent artwork throughout. Guests have access to the entire 3 floors of the house and large yard. Guests will be provided our cell # and email address to communicate with us if necessary throughout their stay. You are in the heart of the historic district when you are at our house. Every where you look you will see history. Stroll half a block to the water and walk along the marina. Head a couple of blocks in the opposite direction and you will have your choice of restaurants and shops and cafes. Make sure you check out the Harriet Tubman mural right in the heart of Cambridge. Lots to explore in this beautiful neighborhood. The house has ample off street parking. It is only a few minutes walking to historic downtown Cambridge with many shops and restaurants. Our home is unique not only because of its historic features but there is lovely artwork throughout. There is off street parking for 3 cars on the side and on street parking for additional guests. Park your car and explore on foot -- everything is close! And, we are half a block from the water and right near the start for Eagle Man and Iron Man!
