It can accommodate up to 4 people, and is located right in the heart of Areopolis, near the Church of Taxiarches and the famous square of the Revolution of 1821. Explore the medieval Areopolis and enjoy the lively neighborhood, while taking advantage of the peaceful environment of the Kir-Yannis apartment. WELCOME! The space ABOUT The complex of stone houses has been our family home for a century. Kyr-Giannis, our grandfather, and Kyra Katina, our grandmother, have raised their children and grandchildren with love and affection, within these tall stone walls. The stone house of Kyri-Giannis is 32 sqm, located on the first floor and is recently renovated, including a bedroom, a living room and a bathroom. It's ideal for couples, solo travelers, friends, and young families. OUR NEIGHBORHOOD In recent years, our neighborhood has become the heart of Areopolis. The main local landmarks - the famous church of Pammegiston Taxiarchon with the impressive bell tower (built in the 18th century), the square of the Immortals (starting point of the Greek Revolution of 1821), the tower of the Mavromichalis family (built in 1760) - are surrounded by traditional taverns and quality restaurants, beautiful cafes and specialized shops with local products. Everything you want is within a 3-minute walk. At the same time, you have the luxury of relaxing on your balcony surrounded by the neighboring stone houses and offering an open view of the horizon and the sea, which extends to the city of Koroni (the southern tip of the Messinian peninsula). THE SPACE Beautifully decorated and with attention to detail, the apartment consists of a large bedroom with a queen size bed, a special workspace, a dining room for up to 4 people and a 40-inch TV, a living room with a sofa bed and a small bench with a sink, and a bathroom. The balcony includes an outdoor seating area and views to the west, the open sea and the Messinian peninsula. You will be surprised by the prickly pears that grow everywhere, as if they were the flowers of Mani. All beds have branded mattresses, while all linen and towels are of excellent quality. There are no cooking facilities, however the small kitchen can facilitate ready-to-serve meals and basic preparations. Nespresso machine, kettle, Greek coffee and filter coffee maker, small fridge, ironing board and drying rack are available for use. Free high speed 50Mbps wifi internet. THE LOCATION The stone house of Kir-Giannis is located on the side of Athanaton Square (square of the Greek Revolution of 1821), with access to all parts of the village of Areopolis within a 5-minute walk. The municipal parking lot is about 150 meters away. Areopolis is great for exploring in the morning or afternoon. Wander the small alleys and get lost in time, with the architecture, the natural landscape and the history of the place.
