Grootberg Lodge

In stone lodges on the edge of the Etendeka Plateau, rooms at Grootberg Lodge offer far-reaching views. With an outdoor pool, it is run by an organization that aims to improve local welfare. The conservation organization supports projects in the area, promotes the importance of wildlife tourism to locals, and provides jobs. Featuring a furnished, wooden terrace with panoramic views, each room at Grootberg Lodge has a thatched ceiling and African décor. The shower in the private bathroom overlooks the plateau. With large windows overlooking the plateau, the rustic restaurant has wooden furniture. There is a bar on site, and packed lunches are available. Possible trips include nature walks to search for elephant and rhino, meeting the Himba tribe in the native environment, and drives down the Klip River Valley, where animals go to drink. Hiking and horseriding are also available. These rooms have a double bed in one room and two single beds in the adjacent room. The bathroom facilities are shared and both rooms overlook the Klip River Valley. Please note that the price is based on 2 guests. Maximum occupancy is 4 (see Hotel Policies).
