With over 1,200 sq. ft of beautifully decorated private guest house, the Healy Hideaway is a retreat for business travelers, weekend getaways and travel stop-overs. Tucked away on 7 acres of manicured sheer beauty, we offer all the conveniences needed to relax or get work done including WiFi, HD TV, equipped kitchen and a claw foot tub. Sit on the covered porch and gaze at lush trees, flowers and deer on the property or sit by the pond on the artisan picnic table to watch the sunset. The space As you walk down the lighted pathway to the covered porch from your designated parking spot, you open the door to an airy, bright and spacious living, dining and kitchen. There are two full bathrooms and two bedrooms with room to hang clothes or put in the dressers. The first bedroom is equipped with a queen bed with the bathroom across the hall, which features a large double door shower. It also has access to the full-size washer and dryer in the laundry room. The master bedroom hosts a king-sized bed, en-suite bathroom which features a freestanding claw-foot tub, shower and sink. We want you to feel at home and a few essential amenities; blow dryer, magnifying mirror, q-tips, shampoo/conditioner, candles, coffee (for 2 pots) and other incidentals. Downtown Langley is just a seven-minute, 2.9-mile drive where you'll find locally owned coffee shops, restaurants, a grocery store, book stores, galleries and boutiques. The Clyde Theater shows first-run films and Whidbey Island Center for the Arts is a venue for performing arts. Whidbey Island has become a popular destination for weddings, and this is an ideal place if you're attending a wedding on the south end. Transport: we occasionally have an Uber/Lyft on the island, but never count on it. We do have a taxi and Island Transit provides free transportation on the island (Monday-Friday), with a bus stop located in downtown Langley. It includes service to the Washington State Ferries dock in Clinton and up the island to Coupeville and Oak Harbor. We recommend having/renting a car while visiting the island. Guest access Feel free to roam around the grounds of our property which includes a beautiful pond and picnic area. Our residence and an office are also on the property, but in separate buildings. We simply ask our guests to respect our privacy while staying at the Healy Hideaway. Your cottage is tucked away for your own privacy and relaxation.
