Sjoebo, Vacation at the Lake

Our house Sjoebo is idyllically and quietly located on Lake Aspjön. From the jetty of the house, the three "Sit On Top Kayaks" belonging to the house or the 4-person canoe can be lowered into the water, or you can simply enjoy the day. The garden on the lake with its old pine tree invites you to enjoy extensive barbecue fun. The house is equipped with a ping pong table, pool table, foosball and many other leisure activities. The sunroom invites you to linger on colder days. The space The house is accessed from the street via a veranda. The porch has 2 benches for two people each with a small table in the middle. There is also a small shoe rack on the porch. The house welcomes its guests through a small hallway, from which the stairs branch off to the first floor on the left. Straight ahead you enter the small living room (passage room with a rocking chair and a dining table with six seats), from which you reach the first bedroom of the house. The bedroom is equipped with a double bed, wardrobe, dresser and antique secretary desk. In front of the windows facing the lake, two armchairs with a table and a lantern invite you to enjoy cozy togetherness. If you follow the hallway to the right, you will reach the dining area of the house. Four chairs and a large antique Swedish bench are grouped around the dining table. The dining table can be pulled out as needed. For coffee lovers, there is a Jura coffee machine next to the kitchen bench. The fireplace of the house is located in the dining area. The dining area is complemented by two old kitchen cabinets from the Gründerzeit. Opposite the dining area is the large kitchen with fridge and freezer. The kitchen equipment ranges from pots and pans to dishes to baking dishes and casserole dishes. A filleting knife is available for anglers. Through the dining area you enter the living room of the house. Here is a three-seater sofa with two cozy wing chairs. For the small TV experience, the sofa is opposite a TV with DVD player. From the living room you enter the second bedroom. This room is also equipped with a double bed, wardrobe and dresser. Two armchairs with a table are also included here. Also from this bedroom you have a magnificent view over the garden and the lake. A wooden staircase leads to the first floor. A small gallery leads to the third bedroom on the left. This room is also equipped with a double bed and a dresser. There is also a built-in closet here. The right side of the room can be used to store suitcases and bags. In the middle you enter the bathroom of the house. The bathroom is equipped with a walk-in shower and a freestanding bathtub. Two sinks directly under the windows offer the opportunity for a beautiful view over the lake in the morning. On the right is the fourth bedroom, it consists of two rooms connected by a large opening. The first room is equipped with a sofa bed, an armchair and a small coffee table. Here is a TV with a large screen and a sound system for movie lovers. If you cross this room, you will reach the approx. 50 square meter rooftop terrace. Here you can have a wonderful breakfast on a large outdoor corner sofa and armchair with a large table. The ensemble is covered by a fabric roof. Two sun loungers invite you to relax. The fourth bedroom is equipped with a double bed and several built-in closets. As with all other bedrooms, there are small bedside tables with lamps next to the beds. In the hallway next to the stairs to the first floor is the door to the stairs to the basement. The stairs open into a longer hallway, from which doors to the guest toilet, pantry, heating cellar and laundry cellar (Miele washing machine) lead off. The hallway leads into another hallway from which you can leave the house straight towards the lake (in this hallway are the garden furniture and the grill). On the left you enter the billiard room with the dart board. Players who are not currently in turn can relax here on the cozy corner sofa. On the left you can reach the conservatory with dining table, bench and two chairs through a lockable door. Two wing chairs with footstools invite you to linger, with a fantastic view over the lake. From the house you can watch moose, ospreys, kestrels and deer with a little luck. If you turn right in the hallway, you will reach the room with the ping-pong table and the foosball table through the hallway with the geothermal system. The house was built into the slope, so that the lower rooms also have windows and from here you can reach the garden and the lake at ground level. To the right of the house is our barn, which was also built into the slope. For this reason, we use the first floor of the barn as a garage and the lower part as a boathouse. The house has a 4-person canoe, 3 sit-on-top kayaks (suitable for beginners), a 1-person canoe (for advanced) and a SUP. Between the house and the lake, we have created a fireplace so that we can bake bread with our children. As soon as the lake is frozen in winter, we start cross-country tours across the lake from the jetty. The house is just a few minutes by car from the Hovfjället ski resort (departure).
