The space This is a detached studio apartment with a private entrance above our garage in a coveted Raleigh neighborhood. At 300 square feet, the studio feels spacious with a large bedroom/living room area as well as a full bathroom and a walk-in shower. The bed is queen size. The kitchenette includes basic kitchen essentials, a full oven/cooktop, microwave, refrigerator, and Keurig coffee maker. Coffee is provided. There is a small patio off the base of the stairs where you can sit, sip, and relax. The apartment has fast Wi-Fi and a 55" flat screen TV equipped with AppleTV with access to streaming services that you can log in to. This studio apartment is in a FANTASTIC location and offers an upscale experience in one of Raleigh's most sought after neighborhoods, located conveniently close to many of the city’s popular venues. The apartment is within walking distance to NC State University (0.9 miles), Meredith College (0.6 miles), Lucky Tree coffee shop (0.8 miles), Raleigh Brewing Company (0.6 miles), Gym Tacos (0.5 miles), and the Ridgewood shopping center (0.7 miles), which is home to a Whole Foods, Ridgewood Wine & Beer, Taco Bamba, Drift Coffee & Kitchen, Walgreens, and more. There are several restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, bars, museums, and parks nearby. It is a quick commute to the RDU Airport (10.4 miles/approximately 15 minutes). Guest access Guests have a private entrance with a keypad lock and a code will be provided prior to check in. Access to the studio above our garage is via the home’s driveway. The apartment has a private entrance that does require guests to walk up 18 stairs. Other things to note The studio apartment, while separate from our residence, is still a part of our home and we live on the property. We live in the primary house and are here for questions or concerns should you need us, but we will be respectful of your privacy. It is important to us that our guests are comfortable, so please do not hesitate to reach out if something is amiss. We ask that you be mindful of house rules and respect our property and our neighbors. No parking is allowed in the driveway (except for loading/unloading, we ask that you limit this time to 10 minutes). There is ample free street parking in front of the home. Note: the hot tub is not for airbnb guest use. We do not allow pets in the apartment. However we do have a friendly greyhound who lives in our home. You may occasionally see him/us as we come and go. If you have allergies or do not wish to encounter a dog, please let us know and we will be sure to accommodate you. There is no smoking of any kind allowed. There are train tracks nearby and the apartment is close to the university athletic facilities as well as the NC State fairgrounds, and on occasion we do hear distant train or game noise.
