The iconic Symonds Yat viewpoint is a pleasant walk away from the property through fields and via quiet country lanes. The Old Shop is an ideal base for those wanting to walk, mountain bike, climb, take part in water sports on the River Wye or just relax and explore this beautiful area. Coleford town is close by and there is a lovely local pub in walking distance. The space The Old Shop is attached to our cottage but has its own separate entrance. It was the former village shop which closed in the late 1980s. It has been newly refurbished as a holiday let. Guests have exclusive use of the Old Shop. The Old Shop is ideal for a couple but could accommodate three friends, who, don't mind sharing an ensuite shower room. Children and small babies are welcome but sadly the accommodation is not suitable for toddlers as a stairgate cannot be attached to the staircase. Basics like washing up liquid, oil, salt and pepper are provided. We provide a small supply of coffee, tea, sugar and milk so you are able to make yourself a cuppa when you arrive after your journey. As you enter the bedroom the newly fitted ensuite shower room is on your right. The bedroom has a king size bed with bedside tables and lamps.
