Walking distance to downtown Walnut Creek. Close to San Francisco, Napa Valley and other Bay Area destinations. The space Your Chalet House is secluded and safe among large trees and beautiful landscaping. There is a heritage valley oak tree that is over 250 years old with a huge canopy used by squirrels, owls, doves and hawks in the backyard. There is a tranquil creek that flows on the property where you can see ducks, fish, crawdads, egrets, a resident hawk and an occasional river otter. You will have: -A Gourmet kitchen -Elaborate Coffee and Tea bar with Nespresso, French press and a regular coffee maker (sugar provided) -Wine and beverage fridge -Filtered water in fridge -Laundry room with detergent for guests -Dedicated work area -High Speed Internet -Electric fire place and a candle lit fire place -Dimmable lights -Board games and puzzles -Record player -Large Smart TVs The gourmet kitchen has everything you need to make a perfect meal with your family and friends. There are all new appliances that include a beverage center in the fridge, an air fryer in the oven and a separate wine and beverage refrigerator. There is also a fun coffee and tea bar that has a Nespresso, French press and regular drip coffee makers, an electric tea kettle and various coffees and teas. We also provide sugars and cream. The kitchen has a large island and chairs to gather around and enjoy a meal, company, games or the view to the serene backyard. You will have a large beautiful dining room with an electric fireplace and dimmable chandelier so you can set the ambiance of the room. Your dining room overlooks the creek patio and backyard. There are also board games and puzzles to enjoy. The “lodge room” has a huge fireplace with electric candles, wood ceiling and wood paneling on the walls, a large smart TV, a comfortable sofa, and a wall of windows that overlook the backyard. You will also enjoy the designated workspace, with vintage books, a record player, records and a mid-century reading chair. It is truly a creative space center! The chalet has three large bedrooms with comfortable king beds that have fine linens and a heavy comforter. Each bedroom has a smart TV and electrical outlets on the night stands to charge your devices. Your bedrooms have: -3 spacious bedrooms -3 King Beds -Smart TV's in each bedroom -Apple chargers and power stations on all the night stands - Dresser and full closet in each room - Luggage holders in each room -Yoga mats in each closet The bathrooms are stocked with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There are also simple toiletries and a hair dryer in each vanity in case you forget anything. You will have a large backyard along the creek with four different patios. One patio has lounge chairs to bask in the sun or just to relax on. The next patio has a quaint sitting area on flagstone next to the ping pong table and an outdoor gym. Another patio is under the massive oak tree and has an L shaped sofa, fire pit table and dining table. The last patio has Adirondack chairs sitting just beneath the canopy of the majestic oak tree next to the creek. There are so many places for you to enjoy the serenity of the property. There is also a large side yard to enjoy bocce ball or a game of corn hole game. There are benches to sit on if you just want to watch the action of the games or take in the beautiful surroundings. We love dogs! Our pet policy allows for up to two dogs ($195 fee), you must pick up after your dogs, have your dogs on leash outside the front of the Airbnb and do not leave dogs alone in Airbnb. The entire back yard is fenced in. Dogs not sleeping over but coming for a visit is allowed ($100 fee). Guest access The Chalet House has its own private garage and entrance. There is a keypad to gain entry into the house and a key pad to gain entry to the garage. You do share the driveway. Other things to note There is a tiny home, also available on Airbnb, on the same property. We designed both properties to maximize privacy. The tiny home has its own entrance, patio, garden area and hammock, which is exclusive to guests staying in the tiny home. You can visit the tiny home at: https://airbnb.com/h/thecreekretreattinyhome The chalet house is on a year round creek, which is home to ducks, hummingbirds, butterflies, fish, crawdads, French clams, egrets and a resident Coopers hawk. Although rare, we have seen river otters going by. There are Wood Duck nesting boxes along the creek. Wood Ducks are very skittish around humans so you have to be very quiet to catch a glimpse of them. Male wood ducks are beautiful. It's also unique that Wood Duck nest in this area every year and have their baby ducks here. The Mallard Ducks do the same but they nest on the banks of the creek. We are walking distance to downtown Walnut Creek. Walnut Creek is known for excellent shopping, terrific restaurants, entertainment (both a movie theater and a live theater), its parks and an abundant amount of open space for hiking and biking. There is also a walking/bike trail (Iron Horse Trail) nearby, which leads to many towns. Walking the neighborhood is also very enjoyable. You can walk the hill near us to see excellent views of Mount Diablo.
