We offer a perfect getaway for nature lovers, outdoor enthusiasts, and those seeking a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Conveniently located within easy driving distance to Woodland Park, CO., you'll have the option to explore charming shops, restaurants, and local attractions if you decide to venture beyond the forest. Here's a general description of the property and its rooms so you can get a sense of what to expect during your stay. Exterior: - The cabin is situated amidst tall pine trees, offering a tranquil and picturesque setting. - You'll find a spacious deck, perfect for taking in the breathtaking mountain views, enjoying your morning coffee, or stargazing at night. - There are outdoor amenities like a grill, picnic table and 2 rocking chairs for your enjoyment. Living Area: - The interior of the cabin boasts a warm and inviting atmosphere, with rustic decor that complements the mountain surroundings. - The living room is cozy, featuring a brick fireplace with wood-burning stove, making it ideal for chilly evenings. - HD TV available with access to streaming apps like YouTube TV, Netflix, Disney+, etc. (*must login with your own streaming accounts) - Large windows let in ample natural light and allow you to connect with the outdoors. Kitchen and Dining: - The kitchen is well-equipped with modern appliances, allowing you to prepare your meals with ease. - You'll find a dining area with seating for 4, making family meals or romantic dinners convenient and enjoyable. Bedrooms: - The cabin includes one queen bedroom with comfortable bedding and linens. - Twin bunk beds sit off of the living room area. - The living room features a sleeper sofa with a full folding mattress. - There is also a queen air mattress available for use. Bathroom: - The cabin is equipped with one bathroom, featuring modern fixtures and amenities. - Shower includes an adjustable height shower head. - Towels, toiletries, and other essentials are provided for your convenience. - Free washer and dryer. Entertainment: - To keep you entertained during downtime, you may find amenities like board games, or a selection of books. Outdoor Space: - Beyond the deck, you have access to Pike National Forest where you can enjoy activities like hiking, birdwatching, or simply unwinding in nature. Heating and Cooling: - The cabin is equipped with heating for the winter months, however there is no air conditioning. At 8800 feet elevation it's nice enough to open the windows and cool things off, especially in the evenings. Privacy and Tranquility: - Our cozy cabin offers a serene and private retreat, allowing you to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. - You can expect peace and tranquility, interrupted only by the soothing sounds of nature. - You can anticipate a memorable mountain getaway in our 880 sq ft cozy cabin, where the natural beauty of the mountains meets the comforts of home. You’ll have the whole cabin to yourself and the Pike National Forest at your doorstep. We will not be onsite during your stay but are available via text or through the app. Three cabins sitting on 40 acres in the Pike National Forest. Elevation between 8800-8900 ft. Private forest road access in the middle of Pike National Forest. It’s about 1 mile of a packed dirt/gravel road up to the cabin. The road is maintained but it can get rough during the wet season. **During the winter months, AWD or 4x4 is REQUIRED to get to the cabin. The forest road up to the cabin can get pretty slick with ice and snow.** Along the state highway from Woodland Park to Manitou Lake runs a paved trail (Centennial Trail). The cabin is about 1 mile of forest road from the state highway and sits near the middle of this 14.7 mile out-and-back trail. It provides a great opportunity to walk, run, or bike to town or the lake. Parking is available on Forest Road 339 near the trail/highway.
