Bright and Sunny Apartment in Washington Heights

The apartment is the 2nd floor of our duplex, located close to EVERYTHING. The neighborhood is diverse with beautiful trees, historic homes, and local businesses. The spacious apartment features 2 large bedrooms with a queen sized bed in each. There is a dining room, a charming butler's pantry, and a large deck out front for your morning coffee. It's family friendly with a secret "treehouse" for the littles. There's also a pack 'n play and booster high chair. The space This home was built in the 1920s so expect high ceilings, built-in shelving, and lots of charm! We’ve lovingly decorated with a mix of handpicked vintage midcentury and modern pieces. There’s a large living room, with a separate sitting area and closet that’s been made into a secret “treehouse” with toys for the little guests. There’s a separate dining room off the butlers pantry that leads to the kitchen, or the hall that leads to the bedrooms and bathroom. Off the living room is the west facing front deck with fresh herbs and amazing sunset views. The bedrooms each have a queen sized bed and linens. There is an AC unit in each bedroom. The kitchen is equipped with new cookware and a new gas stove/oven. We have made sure to include proper glassware for wine. There’s a coffee maker, toaster, and microwave. We have included coffee, tea, half and half, fresh Brita water, and post-travel beers for your stay. FAMILY FRIENDLY: We’ve tried to make the space accommodating for those traveling with young children with corner protectors and outlet covers. In addition to ceramic dishes, we’ve included plastic plates, cutlery, and cups. There’s a Baby Bjorn pack ‘n play with sheets as well as a booster seat/high chair for mealtime. For bath time, there’s a bath mat as well as Pipette baby shampoo. There’s also a small stroller. The “treehouse” has toys and books for entertainment. We’ve got a little one, so if there is anything we’ve missed, let us know because we probably have it! We want you to enjoy your stay and to feel comfortable on your vacation, but if you're looking to have a loud and wild time, this is probably not the place for you. We live downstairs and hope you can be courteous to that. *If you’ve never been to Milwaukee, it’s the easiest city to get around. Our house is conveniently located near the expressway so downtown is about 8 minutes away. The neighborhood is wonderful for morning runs and has a great coffee shop/brewery as well as multiple independent restaurants a short walk away. Guest access You’ll have full access to the entire upper floor of the building. Other things to note The city of Milwaukee DOES require vehicles to register for night parking on all city streets. It’s free for up to 3 nights with inexpensive options after that ($1 night/$5 week). As Airbnb users ourselves, we know what is important to us while we travel (especially with young children) so we’ve tried to make sure you’re covered and you don’t need to haul extra stuff!
