Welcome to the Adirondacks and Lake Champlain. During your stay here, we want nothing more than for you to unwind, relax, and enjoy. Our lakefront property here on the historical shore of Valcour Bay was recently renovated and offers a semi-private sandy beach. We offer 2 complimentary kayaks and bikes, a tranquil backyard, and zen garden. Bike our scenic trails, explore the North Country, paddle our fresh waters, or hike our beautiful Adirondack Mountains. This home will be your "happy" place. Our property sits on a pristine beach where you will capture stunning views of Valcour Island and its Bluff Point Light, along with southerly views of Vermont’s Green Mountains. We offer all the comforts of home that include a carefully disinfected and clean space. Bike to our downtown farmers market and enjoy a farm to table meal in our fully equipped kitchen with an eat-in bar as well as dining for six. Two spacious patio areas with an outdoor gas grill are also available. There are two air-conditioned private bedrooms, two full size baths and a pull-out sofa in the living room area. On chilly nights warm your soul by a gas fireplace. A cozy sunroom with a high-top table allows you to bring the outdoors in, or if you prefer to be outside, rest and relax within the oriental inspired garden of the backyard and take in partial views of Lake Champlain. Beyond the backyard garden, a 350' walk along a nature path will lead you to our sandy beach where you can relax in Adirondack chairs or take a refreshing dip in the fresh water lake. Our beach is one of few along the Lake Champlain shoreline that offers soft sand and a gradual slope, making it perfect for adults and children to swim and play. On a calm summer morning, kayak at sunrise or pack a picnic lunch and paddle 1 mile to Valcour Island where you can explore the light house first hand and/or hike 7.5 miles of easy island trails. Paddle or walk to a nearby marina... or after a day of play, reserve a dinner table at the 'Mariner Bar and Grill'. It's only steps away and one of the best in town - you will be stunned by the panoramic views! Fishing is also abundant as we are situated at the mouth of the Salmon River, and just 1 mile north of a boat launch for easy lake access. Bluff Point Golf Resort, the oldest resort golf course in America, is just 1 mile north where you can attempt a hole-in-one! If you choose to bike, there are many scenic routes available, which include the Lake Shore area as well as bike paths into the heart of the city. During the fall months, immerse yourself in the beauty of colorful foliage while you hike the famous 46 high peaks of the Adirondacks. In the winter, cross country ski our open parks, sled at Fox Hill, downhill ski Whiteface Mountain, ice skate in Lake Placid and maybe even snowshoe on the frozen lake if you are lucky! In the spring, visiting a maple sugar house is a MUST! We are located 6 miles from the heart of Plattsburgh, on a private neighborhood road, and only 5 miles from Plattsburgh's International Airport. We are within walking distance to a marina, restaurant, and public boat launch. Bluff Point Golf Course and Adirondack Golf Course are each within 3 miles.
