Clean, private suite w/garden entry

After Superhosting for 4 years, I took a long break. I’m glad to be back at it! This bright suite in the Piedmont neighborhood is part of my home and is a restful stay while visiting delightfully liberal Portland! We are located between Airport and Downtown. Powered by green energy, we have a small carbon footprint. With organic garden, patio, fruit trees, veggie beds, herbs and flowers, it’s an urban eco-retreat! Gentle Indoor cats also live here, but they do not go into the suite. The space Great spot for catching a good night's sleep, pausing between adventures or relaxing in the garden. Entrance into the basement-level suite is through the back garden through the shared backdoor and lower stairway, with keypad entry for both the back garden entrance to the house and the suite door. The bedroom features a hypoallergenic queen-size bed. There's strong WIFI. The lounge features a big work desk/puzzle table, dinette and lounge area. There is a full bathroom with tub/shower combo and kitchenette with coffee/tea area in your private suite. Dedicated heating and air conditioning is adjustable with a remote control, whether cozying up or cooling down. Get comfy! I provide coffee, tea and a few healthy light snacks to enjoy here or take on your adventures. The lounge area cabinets are stocked for leisure with a variety of books, games, puzzles and maps. In the suite guide, you'll find mention of a number of great nearby places to shop, eat and have a great time in Portland! I'd be delighted to host your Portland stay and I hope you have a wonderful adventure wherever you go! Guest access You'll be entering through the wooden gate to the right of the porch. When you get to the end of the patio, the backdoor to the house is on your left. Use keyless entry with a code I send you before check-in time, and down a 1/2 flight of stairs to the suite door - same keypad code! The utility/laundry room and nearby storage closet are not available for guest use. The suite door is a blue/green french door. I encourage you to enjoy the gardens, both front and back, and feel free to use any of the outdoor space to relax and enjoy your stay! The garden spaces are semi-private in that I and a friend or two may occasionally be there gardening or relaxing too. Street parking is free and typically abundant. Bus and light rail are nearby. Other things to note Portland city code for rental permits issued or renewed after Aug 2021 requires me to log home address of each guest and license plate number if traveling by car for your stay. You'll likely hear upstairs sounds from time to time, but we can't hear much from the first floor. This is a non-smoking household, including the surrounding gardens. Third party bookings are against Airbnb policy and I stick to that so that I can communicate directly with guests if needed. If guests are taller than 6'2", please note that there is a low ceiling beam near the kitchenette. Feel free to enjoy the gardens, and you may even spy some ripe berries to nibble!
