Sanctuary Tiny House is a newly renovated, 442 sq ft 1 bed, 1 bath house with full kitchen and laundry. Front and side decks, fenced yard, fire pit, outdoor grill and deck furniture. The best part about your Sanctuary Stay? Our friendly rescued residents: cows, goats, sheep, horses, pigs, dogs... we bet you'll fall in love with them! We also have a pavilion/event space you can rent and have others join you for a potluck meal, drinks, sanctuary tour, etc. It has a full kitchen and bathroom, dining tables and plenty of parking. Bring your small dog, under 40 lbs for no extra charge! Check with us first - we'll just need to be sure they're friendly with other animals, people, etc. They can enjoy the acreage on-leash with you, or off-leash in the PRIVATE FENCED YARD. The Sanctuary Tiny House, two decks, and fenced yard are your to enjoy alone. You may also explore and enjoy the full 18-acre sanctuary. Don't worry, we'll first provide an orientation tour to have you meet all the animals and show you how to keep yourselves and them safe. We live in another tiny house on the property, and we're caring for the animals daily, so we'll be just a phone call away if you need anything. Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, some people never want to leave! But if you want to explore, there's plenty to see and do! We're just down the road from Gardner-Webb University, 5 minutes from historic Boiling Springs, and 6 minutes from the Broad River Greenway, a 1500 acre nature park with 15 miles of natural surface trails. Historic Uptown Shelby is 17 minutes away where you can enjoy live music outdoors on summer evenings, or visit the Earl Scruggs Museum. Shelby's storybook Main Street evokes old-world charm and Carolina culture and you can explore the galleries and restaurants, studios, shops, and theaters in this charming town. Some other popular nearby attractions include the BMW Zentrum Museum, Cowpens National Battlefield, or shopping at the Gaffney Premium Outlets. Charlotte, NC and Greenville, SC are just over an hour away, and Asheville, NC is under an hour and a half away. These cities offer plenty of "big city" things to do. Text us when you arrive at the entry gate. We'll let you in, ensure the gate is secured behind you, and show you how to do it so you can come and go. You can drive up and park at your Sanctuary Tiny House, which is located in the middle of our 18-acre property. You're welcome to stay put in your private home and enjoy your private decks and fenced yard. Or, you can explore the grounds and visit with the animals, enjoy the views, or simply enjoy walking around. The animals are all friendly, and don't worry... we'll give you a free tour when you arrive to introduce you to everyone, and let you know the few basic things to keep them (and you) safe. Things like don't open any pasture gates or enter any pastures without our consent, and never feed the animals (they're on specialized, restricted diets and seemingly-harmless food can be extremely dangerous to them.) But, you're welcome to join us in the evening to them snacks... it's very rewarding to experience their joy during Treat Time! And while we're working around the farm during daylight hours, your Sanctuary Tiny Home is your private sanctuary... no caregivers will enter your area. Animals may come to the fence to visit, but they won't come in! The bedroom has a double bed, plus a super-comfortable fold-away bed .
