Camp Merryweather in the ADK

A cozy cabin in the Adirondacks on the bank of Lake Algonquin with picturesque views of the lake and mountains. The space Camp Merryweather is located in the Southern Adirondacks, on the bank of Lake Algonquin with picturesque views of the mountains. We have been enjoying camp life for the past 11 years here and are now ready to share it with you! This is a great place to get away with family, friends, or find some solitude! The Adirondack Park covers 6.1 million acres, a land area roughly the size of Vermont and greater than the National Parks of Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Glacier, and Great Smoky Mountains combined. There are limitless trails for hiking, biking, and running, as well as lakes of all sizes to fish, canoe, kayak, and swim. Or you can simply relax! Don’t forget to take in all the stars at night! Three kayaks, a dock, Adirondack chairs, and a firepit are available for your enjoyment. Please note: the dock goes in the water after Memorial Day and comes out around Labor Day. There is also Wi-Fi and a Smart TV with Roku, along with a variety of games to play and books to read. Our wifi easily reaches the deck and the dock for the perfect office with a view! The 3.5 miles around the lake is the perfect daily walk or run. A quick 4 minute walk over the bridge will bring you to the public beach and the quaint town of Wells. Camp Merryweather has 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed, and the other with a full-size bed. There is also a pullout sofa with a queen-size upgraded inflatable mattress. Attic stairs lead up to a kids loft with two queen size mattresses - no headroom for adults up there! There is one bathroom with a shower stall, sink, and toilet. The three-season porch is the perfect spot to read, listen to the loons, gaze at the mountains, or peacefully watch the lake. This is also where you will enjoy meals, until the cold forces you inside. Two AC window units are available upon request. Parking is available for 3 cars directly in front of Camp Merryweather. Guest access You will have the cabin to yourselves. Our property manager, Debbie, lives on the other side of the lake and is available to assist you.
