Casa Belladona – Forest House near Barcelona

Casa Belladona is a 1930s noucentista house with indiano character, once home to British artist Peter Wastell, tucked inside Barcelona's Collserola Natural Park. Surrounded by oak woodland yet just minutes from the city, renting means the whole house is yours: two floors, a wraparound garden terrace, and a peaceful, birdsong-filled setting. Les Planes metro station is a 3-minute walk, with a direct line to Plaça Catalunya. A place to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with nature. The space Built in the 1930s, Casa Belladona blends the sober elegance of noucentisme with indiano details — open galleries, large windows, Mallorcan shutters, and a fluid connection between interior and nature. The house spans two floors and comfortably hosts groups of up to around 9 guests. The upper floor has three bedrooms, a small studio, a bathroom, and a terrace with parkland views. The lower floor is self-contained, with its own bedroom and shower, a living room with a sofa bed, and an American-style open kitchen and dining area. An extensive garden terrace wraps around the house — with spots to relax, read, play table tennis, or barbecue — staying cool and shaded under the surrounding woodland even in summer. The house was once home to British artist Peter Wastell, whose paintings — inspired by the forest light and silence of Les Planes — can still be seen inside. A small dossier on his life and work is available on request. For groups larger than 9, or for workshops, yoga, and creative gatherings, an additional independent loft of approximately 100 m² and an extra garden space are available on request (at additional cost, not included in the base rate, and not rented separately). Guest access Guests have full access to the entire house — both floors, all bedrooms, the kitchen, living areas, and the garden terrace — since the whole property is rented exclusively to you, with no one else on site. The house's library and its art books are also yours to enjoy. The additional loft and extra garden meeting/workshop space are accessible only when requested and booked in advance. Other things to note A Barcelona tourist tax applies and is not included in the reservation price: €9.50 per person, per night, for guests over 16, capped at the first 7 nights of the stay (rate set by the Government of Catalonia and subject to change). All guests must complete the official traveller registration before arrival. Please do not feed wild animals, especially the wild boars common in the surrounding forest. The house has two entrances (shown in the listing photos): the main entrance, with a mix of stairs and flat areas along a slight slope, and an alternative entrance via a gentle, wooded downhill path for guests who prefer to avoid stairs.
