Its serene surroundings and untouched landscapes create a captivating atmosphere, inviting visitors to slow down, breathe deeply, and fully immerse themselves in the natural beauty of this hidden gem. The Ranch is a welcoming setting for every kind of gathering — from fun‑filled weekends with friends and romantic couple escapes to memorable family vacations and adventurous group camping trips. It also serves as a remarkable venue for events and is a highly sought‑after location for weddings that feel truly extraordinary. Spend a weekend surrounded by campfires, quiet moments, and the serenity of the outdoors in our rustic cabin or tipi accommodations. Each stay offers a meaningful way to reconnect with your roots and experience the authentic spirit of Canadian living. Choose from our historic log cabin — the heart of the Ranch — three charming guest cabins, beautifully hand‑painted authentic tipis, or the nearby campground. Nestled beside Chip Lake, the Ranch is just 15 minutes from the Yellowhead Highway, close to the quaint Hamlet of Wildwood, and only about an hour from Edmonton — close enough for convenience, yet far enough to feel like a true escape. The Ranch brings together rustic elegance and genuine country charm, creating an inviting atmosphere for any occasion. From the warm, welcoming scenery to the timeless details that capture the spirit of the countryside, every visit feels special. Whether you’re here for a casual getaway, a joyful celebration, or simply to enjoy the peaceful beauty of the outdoors, the Ranch provides the perfect backdrop for unforgettable moments. It’s a place where rustic charm and romance intertwine, creating an ambiance that feels both timeless and captivating — where every detail whispers warmth and connection, and the spirit of freedom flows effortlessly, inviting all who arrive to embrace the beauty of simplicity and the joy of unbridled living. Guest access This cozy cabin is beautifully appointed with a full‑size refrigerator, an electric range, and a classic wood stove that lends both warmth and atmosphere. Inside, two custom queen‑size beds—one paired with a twin bunk above—along with an additional twin bed provide generous, comfortable sleeping arrangements. Thoughtful craftsmanship and refined details throughout create a welcoming retreat designed for rest, connection, and effortless comfort. Guests have full access to our Ranch Wash House—a space inspired by the traditional wash houses where cowboys and mill hands once rinsed off the dust of long days on the land. Designed with modern comfort in mind, it offers clean bathrooms with hot showers, an outdoor kitchen sink, and a covered veranda that carries the timeless spirit of the past into a warm, welcoming present. Nearby, the open‑air saloon‑style Cook House adds a touch of frontier charm with its fridge, BBQ and utensils, stainless steel prep counters, and generous garbage and recycling stations. Each cabin includes its own picnic table and firepit, creating a welcoming space for shared meals, slow mornings, and evenings by the fire. Guests also enjoy exclusive access to a private lakeshore—a serene stretch of water perfect for picnics, watching waterfowl, or taking in the glow of a prairie sunset. Other things to note We encourage guests to bring along any favourite camping essentials—roasting sticks, lawn chairs, and anything else that makes time around the fire feel just right. Adventurers are also welcome to bring bikes or kayaks for exploring the lake and surrounding trails, as well as sturdy hiking shoes for wandering the ranch’s scenic pathways. Your cabin stay includes soft, comfortable towels for use after a warm shower in the Ranch Wash House. Firewood is available for purchase daily until 8 p.m., perfect for keeping the fire glowing as the evening settles in.
