Our unique and beautifully detailed home is over a century old and recently renovated from the ground up. It is one of the few 2 story, late 19th century west Texas family homes in existence. Large, deeply cased windows and two foot adobe walls are a special feature of the home. Upstairs you will find two bedrooms. The master has a king bed, and the 2nd bedroom has a queen and a bunk bed. The bathroom is downstairs and has a walk-in shower. The space This home is one of the few two-story Adobes known in the area. The historical two-story home has recently been renovated from the ground up and is absolutely gorgeous inside and out. -DOWNSTAIRS- LIVING ROOM: As you walk through the front door there are stairs to your right, the grand hall directly in front and a warm living space to entertain friends to your left. There are four grand windows and two sofas to lounge or enjoy a beverage. The light is intoxicating and creates a beautiful atmosphere to share with others. Listen to a record on vinyl or watch one of your favorite shows with surround sound. LAUNDRY: Washer and dryer are available for use in the house during your stay. In this space you can find extra towels and linens if you need. BATHROOM: This home is over 100 years old and has been completely remodeled throughout. There is one bathroom in the house and it is located on the first floor. There is a beautifully remodeled shower, toilet and sink area tucked away for full privacy. DINING: The grand dining room has three grand windows allowing full light for breakfast in the mornings. A beautiful antique table that seats 6-8 comfortably. Entertain your friends and family here over dinner and cocktails. KITCHEN: Fully stocked kitchen with all the kitchen amenities you will need. Refrigerator with freezer, stainless steel oven, plates, bowls, cups, silverware, pantry, knives and so much more. You’ll just need to bring groceries. Although the kitchen is completely renovated the stove top is quite quirky and will take some getting used to. Hold the first burner to act as “ignitor” to light the rest. Quirky but works great once you get used to it. OUTDOOR: Outside we have a BBQ pit for cooking and a large outdoor table with umbrella. Enjoy cocktails out here with five of your friends. There is a fire pit for use during low wind, non-burn ban seasons. Fires should never be left unattended. Please check with your host if fires are okay during your stay. Large open yard for sports or other outdoor activities. BRING YOUR OWN FIREWOOD. -UPSTAIRS- MAIN BEDROOM: King size bed with large East facing windows and door to outdoor patio. One desk with chair and small closet for hanging clothes. PATIO: Large upstairs patio with three access doors overlooking downtown. Views of the Railroad and The Sentinel Newspaper. People watch with an ice cold “Ranch Water” relaxing in one of the four Andorak chairs. HALL: Walk into the hall passage between the two bedrooms. Star gaze the night sky with our impressive telescope. SECOND BEDROOM: Queen size bed and twin bunk beds to sleep four in this large space. Enjoy the X-Box with TV or gaze out of one of the many large West facing windows. One table with four chairs provided in this room for work calls or homework. *There is no running water upstairs. You must go downstairs to access bathroom or kitchen. WIFI: Stream movies or Zoom conference calls. WiFi service is great for multiple users at once. WiFi outages have occurred but are rare. Expect service could possibly drop during your stay for an unknown amount of time. As we will always do our best to get service at any property back up and running quickly, most service providers are not open on the weekends or evenings. Cloudy or extreme weather can play a role in internet speed. PETS: We do not allow pets at this property. ACCESS: The house can be accessed via the keypad lock. Self check-in with the access code provided upon booking. Should you need assistance with checking in please let us know in advance. COMMUNICATION: You will have contact with our host via text or the platform to handle any questions you might have during your stay. Please call with any immediate assistance needed during visit with us. LOCATION: The home is centrally located in the heart of Marfa. The train passes nearby with energy and life. The Sentinel, a newspaper next door, provides coffee in the mornings and cocktails at night. Enjoy the hustle and bustle outside or block out the world inside. The location is prime but has a potential for noise so please consider this when booking. We toast our glasses each time the train passes. CHECKIN/OUT: Checkins start at 4PM and checkout is 10AM. For early checkins or late checkouts talk to your host to make a request. Early checkins or late checkouts start at $50 each and are never a guarantee. We look forward to hosting you guys soon!
