Description
Experience sleeping in an authentic tipi in a unique, privately owned, small campground. Wake up and set off for an adventurous day of hiking or biking through the White Mountains, kayak or float the Pemigewasset River, spend it at one of the many attractions in the Lincoln/Woodstock area or just relax and read in the hammock surrounded by nature. In the evening walk or drive down the hill to downtown N. Woodstock to the many restaurants, breweries and shops for an enjoyable evening out! The space This small very unique, rustic style campground consists of 4 tipi sites each visible to one another but separated by trees and distanced enough for privacy. Each site has their own lean to, picnic area, and firepit equipped with lights and wifi. There is a community cooking area with a gas grill (guests are welcome to bring their own grill and gas if preferred), cooking utensils, hot water kettle, coffee pot and picnic table. An outdoor enclosed shower with hot water, fresh water spigot and 2 porta potties that all guests have access to. The tipi sits atop a wooden platform to protect from the cold ground with a tarp above to protect from rain. Inside are floor mats for padding and throw rugs along with a full and 2 twin size floor mattress. We provide a fitted sheet however, GUESTS MUST BRING THEIR OWN PILLOWS AND BLANKETS and towels. Please be advised we do not consider this "glamping", however, it's not exactly "roughing it" either due to the many small amenities. Bundles of wood are available for $4/per bundle on main property as well or you are welcome to gather your own in the surrounding woods. Unfortunately, no dogs are allowed. Guest access Once on Paradise Rd. look for a mailbox that reads 121 with a tipi replica made of sticks next to it. Pull down the long driveway leading down to a green house and park facing in to the shed. Parking is on the main property with a short walk down to the tipi area, with each tipi having it's own subpath. Due to limited space, only one car per site is allowed. Come and go as you please but please be curtious and respectful to neighbors and fellow campers. Other things to note Please note, though private and off the beaten path, this is a residential area. There is a condo close by so there is potential for background noise, however, N. Woodstock does have a noise ordinance starting at 10 pm. If this becomes bothersome after this time, please make owners aware.
