Oceanfront Maine Cottage newly built

The Westwind is a magical cottage with a commanding view of the ocean and a front row seat to all the comings and goings of “The Cove”. The Westwind is part of a private, 60 + acre summer resort hideaway offering unlimited access to the ocean, quiet forest paths to explore and a private 13 acre island. Floods Cove has been operated by the same family for over 117 years and is a time capsule for those seeking to find that perfect quintessential Maine vacation spot. The space If you are looking for a no compromise top of the line cottage and a family-friendly summer vacation with lot's of outdoor activities for the kids or an adult retreat to get away from it all this cottage is for you. The Westwind was designed with full width sawn Maine Pine for the rafters and framing to give it an old world campy feeling but this is contrasted with “Camp Chic” nickel gap white walls and Poplar doors, complete with crystal doorknobs. Both bathrooms will have sexy all glass shower doors (by Spring 2019). Westwind has three bedrooms including a master bedroom & bathroom on the 1st floor and two additional bedrooms and bath upstairs. For overflow there’s and a nice cool queen bed in new dry the basement for if needed. One of the best features of the Westwind is the large wrap around porch that features breathtaking views of the ocean, the beach, "Pa's Island," and all of Flood's Cove. You will be able to relax, read, socialize, take a nap, and so much more while enjoying the cool summer ocean breezes and warm sunshine of the Maine coast. You have private access to the beach and ocean right in front of the cottage, where you can wade in the water, take a swim or explore over a mile of private shore frontage in kayaks and/or paddle boards that are offered to tenants at no charge. When you are done rinse off with an outside hot water shower to relax the soul. You will leave the Westwind feeling refreshed, restored and looking forward to your next visit to this magical cove. Over the Winter we are installing hardwood floors throughout the cottage, finishing the interior paint and installing up and downstairs glass shower doors and well as the “real” kitchen…stay tuned, going to be beautiful!
