Sage Cabin - Lakefront Campground near Tobermory

One of several roofed accommodations at Mountain Trout Camp, Sage Cabin is a rustic one-room cabin right at the waterfront. Double bed behind partition, double futon, full kitchen with full size fridge, stove, and microwave (cold water only). Heated and air conditioned. TV with DVD player. Private full bathroom with hot water *in separate building* located close by. Pets not permitted. First two guests age 15 and under are free. Free Wi-Fi. The space We provide dish soap, kitchen sponge, hand soap, toilet paper and all kitchen accessories including coffee maker, tea kettle, cutlery, bowls, plates, glasses, mugs, pots and pans. The only linens provided are fitted bed sheets, pillows and pillowcases. Bring all other linens including blankets, towels and dish cloths, as well as toiletries. Blankets can be rented for a fee. Outdoor table, firepit and barbecue (propane included). Water is treated and potable throughout campground. MTC does not permit music to be played outside, with the exception of live musical instruments and singing at a low volume. Music played inside cannot be heard beyond your site. Mountain Trout Camp amenities include public bathrooms, showers and laundry, sports facilities, playgrounds, fishing, shallow lake area for kids, lake swimming, inflatable water park (July and August), floating docks, boat rentals, etc. Enjoy the starry nights with virtually no light pollution. Small hiking trail on property and only a 20-minute walk to the Bruce Trail from our front entrance. Guest access Check in at front office when arriving. Check in is after 4:00pm and check out is at 10:00am. Earlier arrival permitted but we do not guarantee access until 4:00pm. Please notify in advance if arriving past 9:00pm. Cell phone reception available around office. Office sells limited snacks, beverages, ice, worms and firewood (no outside firewood permitted). The closest groceries and gas are 30 minutes away. Closest grocery stores, LCBO and restaurants are in Lions Head and Tobermory. Closest gas stations are on Highway 6 in Ferndale and in Tobermory. Other things to note 2 adults and 2 children age 15 and under are included. Do not count the first 2 children when reserving to avoid Airbnb charging for the extra guest, but please let us know by sending us a message after reserving. Please count any additional children as guests when reserving.
