Take a day trip to Mammoth Cave or enjoy the nearby Leitchfield Aquatic Center water park. The space 2 minutes from Ponderosa boat dock/launch. House is close enough to the water that you can see water from the kitchen. Fully stocked kitchen for all your cooking needs opens to a great room and dining area. Large covered screened deck and a second covered deck with hot tub, bar seating, and outdoor shower that has hot water. Family friendly with baby and toddler amenities. They can be taken down to the end of our path and dropped in there if you are comfortable. This is a redline and we are not allowed to cut it at all, so the grass can be tall. Guest access Guests have access to the entire home, outdoor areas, yard, and large parking area. Per Army Corp of Engineers, no guests are allowed on the docks, as they are private property! There is a path to get down to the water straight down our backyard, but please bring bug spray with tick protection because this is a redline and we are not allowed to cut it at all, so the grass can be tall. If you are not comfortable walking down that area, Ponderosa marina is just a minute away and kayaks can be dropped in there. Other things to note You may NOT get on the docks at the end of our path, since they are private property. If you feel comfortable walking down to the water at the end of the path/near the docks, that is ok too to get in the water there. I would highly recommend bringing a bug and tick spray. Outdoor shower is seasonal. On from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day. Please note that lake views vary season to season. Water does drop to “winter pool” on October 15th. Water starts to fill up again on March 15th. Certain times of the year show more water. Rainfall can also influence how much water is visible.
