Description

The space Your very own light-filled, tranquil getaway right in the heart of one of San Francisco's most prestigious and serene neighborhoods. The apartment boasts beautifully finished hardwood floors, tastefully furnished living room, comfortable bedroom with large closet, remodeled kitchen with great chef's style gas range, quiet dishwasher and large modern refrigerator/freezer, large bathroom with bathtub and shower--all amenities, including high-speed internet, cable, unlimited phone calls within the U.S., washer/dryer in building. Everything you need for the perfect home away from home! All sorts of wonderful restaurants, as well as good shopping, museums, Golden Gate Park, Lands End, the beaches, etc. are within minutes. Walk out the back gate directly into the magical Presidio and Mountain Lake Park. The Presidio golf course is a short walk through the park from the flat. The nearby Richmond district is a vibrant neighborhood, full of interesting shops, with a plethora of restaurants. You can find Mexican, Russian, French and Italian restaurants with ease, not to mention abundant establishments serving food from every corner of Asia (including delightful and delicious Mandalay, the very first Burmese restaurant in SF, right around the corner on California St.) Lincoln Park: Most people are familiar with Lincoln Park because of the Palace of the Legion of Honor and the golf course, but we think one of the best things about it is the direct access to Land's End and a portion of the Coastal Trail that runs about six miles along the bluffs above the sea, from Baker Beach to Ocean Beach. Walkers along this accessible path will be astonished by the fabulous views. Check out the Labyrinth while you're there! Golden Gate Park: The newly redone M.H. De Young Museum is fabulous both for its special exhibits and its regular collections. Be sure to go up the viewing tower for breath-taking views over the city, Golden Gate Bridge and bay. The California Academy of Sciences is a must-see. Both museums have fabulous cafes (with outdoor seating as well). It’s great fun to rent a boat in Stow Lake (Stow Lake Bike & Boat Rent) or to explore the park by bike (they close most of the roads through the park to car traffic on weekends so that the park is wholly dedicated to pedestrians and bikers.
