Launcells Barton Manor House

Steeped in history and set amidst spectacular wooded countryside, Launcells Barton is a Grade II* listed manor house in Launcells, a small parish situated near Bude in North Cornwall, sleeping 14 and a travel cot. The varied heritage of the house and its different architectural details are part of what makes this house so unique. Thought to date back to the 14th century, the older half of the house was once held by a cell of Augustine monks affiliated with Devon’s Hartland Abbey. The space The Manor House is situated within a farm and the Manor House, front field and driveway is yours to enjoy during your stay. Please think of the Manor House as an older elegant lady, and as such needs lots of love and care and occasionally rattles when it's windy. The Aga in the kitchen has 2 big heat pads where you can cook multiple pans at once, we are happy to show you how to use this if you've not used one before! The heating for the house comes from our Biomass Boiler which is heated from woodland on the farm through our forestry management system. We do not allow the use of open fires. Guest access Guests have full use of the Manor House and garden. Other things to note 5 double bedrooms. 1 twin room with 2 single beds. 2 pull out beds that can go in any of the bedrooms. 1 travel cot for a child.
