Lewes is a vibrant old market town nestled in the South Downs and steeped in history perfectly placed for river or South Downs walks. Explore the alleyways off the High St to find unusual pubs, restaurants, cafes and antique shops. Lewes Castle is also close to the cottage and Anne of Cleves House is a 10 minute walk through town. The space The front door leads to the compact living room and from there the tiny modern kitchen opens to a pretty courtyard - a sun-trap perfect for morning coffee or evening drinks. A quirky narrow staircase leads upstairs from the kitchen to the gorgeous bathroom with walk-in shower and distant views towards the Downs. The character bedroom has an original fireplace and a kingsize bed with sumptuous premium mattress and bedding Guest access You will have full private access to the whole cottage and its small courtyard garden Other things to note This. traditional Lewes Victorian cottage is compact with low ceilings. Please take care when using the small flight of stairs to the first floor as they are winding and narrow. May be unsuitable for guest with limited mobility. Due to the size of the cottage there is no dining table. Laptop trays and a small fold down table are provided. The capacity of the cottage is maximum 2 persons.
