Welcome to our spacious and cozy barn, in the heart of the Pyrenees Ariégeoises natural park. Our little corner of paradise is ideal for relaxing and will enchant nature lovers. Immediate hiking departures in the beautiful surrounding forests and peaks. Nearby: waterfalls, lakes, markets & picturesque villages, gastronomy, medieval cities, prehistoric caves... we will be happy to give you the best advice for your stay. Shops in Massat 10 min away. The space 🌄 Panoramic terrace with sun loungers, hammock, table to bask in the sun and enjoy the view. ✨A large part of the terrace is covered, with bench and armchair. Sunshine all year round! 🌳 A 2nd terrace in the shade of a beautiful walnut tree equipped with a large table and a barbecue. 🧡 Inside, large spaces! * a large 40 m2 living room, you can relax on the sofa-bed or the small super cozy corner in front of the wood stove. Tourist documentation and maps to prepare your outings. * a spacious kitchen with table, bay window and terrace access. * 2 large bedrooms and a sleeping area: - Bedroom 1: 1 queen size bed (160x200) - Bedroom 2 : 1 double bed and 1 single bed - A semi-enclosed sleeping area: 1 single bed * 2 bathrooms * 4 people max ✨ Central heating and wood-burning stove The cottage is super well heated: underfloor heating on the ground floor and large radiators upstairs, it is rare in the middle of the mountains. And a large wood-burning stove in the living room for evenings by the fire 🌙 Heating and wood are included. The Ariège Pyrenees: 🐻 The natural park is a paradise of nature, hiking, with dozens of lakes and waterfalls, beautiful valleys and the grandiose Pyrenean peaks! And many other discoveries: - picturesque local markets, including the huge Saint Girons market, with lots of local producers, colorful stalls...etc. - many prehistoric caves including one in an underground river (Labouiche, Mas D 'azil, Niaux...) - castles (Foix and Montegut), and Cathar sites (Montségur) - Medieval cities: Saint Lizier, Foix. - lakes and mountain ponds, all beautiful (Lers pond, Bethmale...), - waterfalls (Ars, Fouillet...) - the thermal baths of Aulus-les-bains (jacuzzi, sauna and natural care) - the barn of Cominac, 🌟 Activities: horse and donkey rides, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, ski touring, downhill skiing (Guzet, Goulier, Ax...), mountain biking, equestrian centers, caving, rafting, canyoning, via-ferrata, climbing, paragliding, canoeing... Guest access In the heart of the Ariège Pyrenees Natural Park, you are in the Couserans, one of the wildest regions of France, still little known! 1 hr 50 min from Toulouse, 1 hr from Foix, 30 minutes from Saint Girons, 45 min from Tarascon. Other things to note * All bedding is provided, as well as blankets for those who feel the cold :) * Towels are not provided, it is possible to obtain them with a surcharge of 10 euros per towel. * The calm and tranquility of the place and the proximity of the neighborhood does not allow for nightly and noisy parties. * We do not charge a cleaning fee, in return we would be grateful if you could leave the place clean and tidy. The list of tasks is indicated in the house rules. * We do not charge for heating (wood or gas) and we offer an electricity flat rate of 15Kwh/d (corresponding to current needs) , if you exceed it, a surcharge will be charged at the current rate. * Pets are welcome at the house, but several conditions must be met: - the land is not fenced: ensure the good behavior of your animal towards the neighborhood and keep it with you. - no pets on sofas or beds, if they accidentally climb on them, please remove the hair. - the garden is a family place, if your pets were to relieve themselves there, please pick up after them out of respect for the following guests.
