This comfortable home away from home offers a unique town and country experience. Conveniently located near the head of the Ellsworth rail-to-trail, the house is just three minutes from Downtown. This central home base provides easy access for exploring Acadia, the Bold Coast, Downeast, and the Blue Hill Peninsula. Our sprawling farmstead includes many homes and extensive backyard greenspace boasting organic vegetable gardens, fruit trees, flowers, ducks, chickens and forest trails. The space Centrally located for day trips to the Bold Coast, Acadia National Park and the Blue Hill Peninsula. Exploration opportunities are endless! If work brings you to the area, Northern Light Hospital and Jackson Lab are moments away. Thoughtful décor and original artworks to please the eye and nourish the spirit. The home’s original woodwork dates back to the heyday of Ellsworth's lumbering industry when several sawmills and dams lined the Union River. Although we have lovingly restored and renovated the property for the comfort and convenience of our guests, an old-world character remains. Bedrooms are on the second floor. There are three queen bedrooms with memory foam beds. A twin bedroom adjoins one of the queen bedrooms. Fully equipped kitchen for easy meal preparation and dining in. Dining rooms and living rooms on first floor. There is a bathroom on each floor with shower. Washer and dryer in the downstairs bathroom. WIFI and Smart TV with guest mode. The farmstead has many acres of grounds for strolls through lawns, gardens and forest. We love to plant things! The Ellsworth rail to trail starts at the head of the Farmstead property at 12 Falls Court for biking or walking. Off-street parking for up to three vehicles.
