The GRAPEViNE has dual block-out & sheer roller blinds allowing choice of light and temperature and has floor to ceiling louvre windows. New efficient air-conditioning for your comfort. Charming clawfoot bathtub with rain shower. Vibe is 'unique and homely'. No sharing of property with host or any other guests... providing full privacy for 1 or 2 guests. The GRAPEViNE is absolutely private. All rooms adjoining The GRAPEViNE veranda and bedroom are unoccupied 24/7 during all guest stays. No common walls. No sound transfer at all giving guests complete privacy. The Veranda day bed has large back cushions and throws and can serves as a day-bed / chill-out / TV viewing / day dreaming option..... sit back .. legs up and watch TV / NETFLIX .. rest / read, dream after a bath in the fresh bath robes provided. The adjoining bedroom has a quality Queen size bed, armchair, air conditioning and ceiling fan. The bath area is 'open plan' with shower privacy curtains if required. The rain shower is above the bath-tub. There are no host or visitor 'in common' entry or exits, ... including guest garden and parking areas .. ie: all the front garden and parking are for guest's sole, private use. A detailed 'eco-fresh' clean of The GRAPEViNE is included and happens just prior to arrival. Fresh quality bed- linen and towels and spare sets are also provided. The most beautiful Airbnb I've ever stayed in. I was speechless on arrival. Ian's styling is impeccable and the artistic, vintage design is to die for. The whole property was immaculately cleaned top to bottom, while retaining a level of homeliness that relaxed me the minute I set foot inside. There is nothing Ian hasn't thought of and it's clear he has his guests needs in mind at all times. Ian was a wealth of local knowledge and had many recommendations for dining options, ferry timetables and absolutely anything else we needed! Sometimes it's the small touches that make a place great; Ian's small touches are so plentiful that they add up to an overall 10/10 stay. 100% will be returning and recommending to anybody visiting the area. Little Beach .. along The Scenic Road is lovely and easy walk in from car.. for a picnic perhaps ( a 20 minute drive from Wagstaffe ). Putty Beach is good close by (calm waves) in Bouddi National Park. The Bouddi Coastal walk can start and/or end here too. Maitland Bay is good... there is a coastal walk from Putty Beach or The Scenic Road, (half-day or day walk)... walk back up if take option to Park on The Scenic Road carpark. The Wagstaffe Ferry Wharf is a 5 minute walk from The GRAPEViNE. ( runs to Ettalong and Palm Beach ). The house is tucked away on a battle-axe block so it's not a street frontage. View / aspect is lush and green with 2 small slices of a 'water' - bay view. Easy driveway access up ... it's a 'private right of way', that services two other properties .. it's pedestrian priority, so please drive slowly. The Grapevine has roomy private parking under canopy / shade cloth. Note: some furniture in The GRAPEViNE is securely fixed in place ( cannot be moved ). This is for maintaining a safe, considered and constant spacial arrangement for guests during and after their stay. The GRAPEViNE house was built in the early 1900's. Expect the odd squeak and aged patina surface. Verandas are lovely spaces ! Guests are to keep in mind and respect The GRAPEVINE is located a relatively quiet neighbourhood. So if this suits you its a bonus ! Some neighbour activity can be heard at times especially in 'holiday seasons. No complaints to date. The GRAPEViNE has louvre windows and is not insect screened. No problems so far. Veranda bed has a romantic mozzie net canopy. , ... again usually no problem with mozzies. Mosquito numbers vary along there NSW coast depending upon weather. The Bedroom is fully insect screened. The bath area is 'open plan' with shower privacy curtains if required. The shower is above the bath-tub. There is a firm 'hand support' , small and stable foldable single step provided if needed. Never been any issues/ complaints from guests. However, less mobile / elderly too may find the set up un-suitable. See photo/s. in listing. Not wheelchair accessible ( 4-5 steps up at front door and bath with shower ). Do not be concerned re water splashing / draining from under the bath/shower.. the floor is resin sealed and a floor drain grid is installed under bath connected to plumbing drains.
