The Circus Wagon on Ærø

On Ærø, there is an old circus wagon. Carried by dreams, it has been transformed into an adventurous retreat. A unique get-away for you who want to experience how the silence, art and history, together create an atmosphere that makes the body calm down and the thoughts fly. With jugglers and clowns It has been completely refurbished - simple and stylish. It stands completely undisturbed, in the beautiful nature, right where the forest becomes a field and where the view unfolds before your eyes. The space The circus wagon is built in the former East Germany and has driven Europe's highways thin, from city to city, where it has given nightly to the most skilled and courageous artists, who high up under the colorful canopy on the beautiful circus tents, have shown their abilities, impressed and thrilled thousands of people. The circus wagon has retained its character, which gives a very special atmosphere. It has been rebuilt with a sense of detail, so that you as our guests have everything you need while staying in the circus wagon. The circus wagon is luxuriously decorated, with furniture and interiors that give it personality and that invite our guests to feel at home, breathe and relax. The wagon is decorated as a unique work of art, by the visual artist Jonas Pihl, who has created a unique and fantastic work, which forms the framework for your holiday and which can give you the opportunity to let yourself be inspired and let your imagination run free. Guest access After driving ashore from the ferry, you drive to the outskirts of the small maritime town of Marstal. Here you follow your own driveway, through the pine forest, along a road that feels like an enchanting tunnel. You park the car in your very own parking space, put your luggage on the trailer that is ready for you and follow the forest edge, through the most beautiful walk, until you can sense the circus wagon, which stands right where the forest becomes a field and where the view of the island opens up in front of you. You enter the wagon, open the large folding door, sit on the sofa and are now in the middle of nature. The circus wagon is located all by itself, so you can enjoy your holiday undisturbed, to the sound of the wind in the trees and the birds singing. At the trailer, a small cave has been created under the dense forest, where you can enjoy a good book in the shade or relax in the hammock. In front of the circus wagon, there is a huge terrace, which with its different levels and pillows always offers a cozy nook where you can sit with a good book, a hot cup of coffee or a cold glass of wine. In front of the terrace, you have your own grassy areas, which are delimited by a fold, where there is a flock of Welsh goats and grass. Some beautiful and friendly animals that make a great backdrop for your stay in the circus wagon. The goats are caring and social animals who appreciate your company when you stay in the wagon, on the terrace or on the grass, by the fold. Other things to note In the trailer, there is an espresso machine filled with beans from the local roaster Dynamo, just to brew the perfect cup of coffee.
