Description
This reclaimed 1830s cabin is a rural escape located on a working farm. You'll have access to the guest cabin, bath house, fire pit, grounds, and - upon request - our working blacksmith shop. Spend an afternoon meandering trails on 75 acres of farmland and forest, sip tea on the porch, or take a drive through charming Amish country. There are two cabins on the property, and both can be booked together if you wish (please see listing for "Timothy" cabin). The space The cabin has a large living area with a wood-burning fireplace, and a loft bedroom. The front porch has beautiful view of the working farm and fields. A microwave, kettle (with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate), and mini-fridge along with a propane stove top are in the living area for your use. The shared bath house is a short walk from the cabin and contains a shower, toilet, and other necessities. Guest access The entire cabin is available for your use. The bath cabin is shared between two cabins in the event that both are occupied. You also have access to trails around the whole farm. Other things to note Two friendly dogs live on the property, and they love to meet new people. If you would prefer, they can be kenneled during your stay. To enhance the look and feel of our property, I am always on the lookout for genuine antiques. As a result, we have a plethora of interesting items. If you’re interested in taking a look at anything, I’m happy to discuss further. Due to the original nature of the buildings, during certain times of year (mainly autumn), we may on occasion ask for your patience and understanding when seasonal bugs such as ladybugs and black flies are difficult to control. We try all natural methods to make you as comfortable as possible. During these times, we have found that a quick vacuum helps keep the area bug-free. A vacuum is available for you to use, and I am of course available to assist.
