🏔️ 150 acres of private wilderness in the Blaeberry Valley, 20 min from Golden. Iconic renovated yellow school bus nestled in the forest with mountain views — a unique and unforgettable experience for the whole family. Three private waterfalls accessible via a private trail. Thomson Falls and several well-known trails less than 3 km away. Direct vehicle access. Authentic wildlife and the Canadian Rockies as your playground. The space Sleepy Bear Skoolie is a genuine converted school bus tucked deep in nature, surrounded by old-growth forest and mountain views. You’ll fall asleep to the quiet of the woods and wake up with natural light and the sound of the river nearby. Sleeps up to 4 guests: • 1 comfortable Queen bed • 1 bunk bed (ideal for children — tighter for adults) Amenities: • Outdoor kitchenette with propane stove • Outdoor dining table and BBQ area • Ecological dry toilet • Solar lighting (basic use only) • 90L water tank for kitchen use • Cooler provided (please bring ice) There is no refrigerator, no standard electricity, and no window blinds. The three private waterfalls just steps away also serve as your natural swimming and refreshing spot. Guest access Access is via a forest road — part of the adventure. On-site parking available. You’ll have access to the bus, the private waterfalls, the river, and surrounding trails. Other things to note This is a true off-grid stay: • No WiFi • No reliable cell service • No shower • Limited water • Minimal solar electricity Wildlife is very present. Bear safety rules must be strictly followed: no food or trash left outside, scented items stored properly, and constant awareness. Mice may occasionally enter the bus. Mosquitoes are common in summer. This place is not suitable for guests expecting hotel-style comfort. Please book only if you’re genuinely excited about a real wilderness immersion experience.
