Located just a short drive north of NYC, nestled between Woodstock and Phonecia, is a little cottage waiting to be discovered by you and your guests. Many have asked if this is a stand-alone home or part of the main house on the property. I am happy to say that you get this entire private oasis to yourself, adjacent to the main house plus the 2 acres behind for you to enjoy! The space Perfectly appointed for a couple, Magnolia is an amazing base camp for discovering all the Hudson Valley and the Catskills have to offer. Hiking, biking, swimming, skiing, snow shoeing, snow tubing, ziplining, and of course EATING, are always pillars of any good adventure/getaway, and this location is no exception offering all those and more. Enjoy the peace and quiet of the woods with the convenience and proximity of both Phonecia, Woodstock, Saugerties, and Kingston. Wake up early and walk along the quiet road to the solar bakery, Bread Alone, which is just on the other side of our property line, or go have an amazing breakfast at the famous Phonecia Diner. Make sure to check the house manual for all the best recommendations and take the guesswork out of where and what to do. Spend the afternoon shopping in one of the nearby quaint towns or be adventurous and explore the Ashkon Rail Trail or hike Overlook Mountain. The flea market on the weekends in Woodstock is amazing, and you can find everything from vintage furniture to clothing and jewelry. If you want to turn up the volume on relaxation; Emerson Resort is down the road touting a wonderful full service spa and restaurant. While we are talking about food, surrounding towns are filled with 5 star eateries and cocktail spots. This is one of the foodiest places in the Catskills, and you could eat out every night of your stay and not repeat an amazing restaurant. In the evening, enjoy a glass of wine and a cool breeze in the Adirondack Chairs. Dine out or cook at home with the amazingly appointed kitchen that comes with staples so you don't have to buy EVERY LITTLE THING just to season your food. However, you choose to spend your time; your accommodations here at Magnolia Cottage will be one of the highlights and the most relaxing part of your whole experience. *We list that we accept pets* we will always accept service animals; but all other pets are on a case by case basis. There is an additional fee/cleaning fee. When you book, just state that you have a pet and we can discuss. Guest access The cottage is adjacent to the main house but very private. The main house's living quarters are on the opposite side of that home. you can't see into any of their windows, and they can't see into any of yours. You have your own 2 acres of land behind you. Other things to note Remember to read the house manual when you check in...it isn't full of just boring stuff...it's full of fun facts about the area and how to have the best time while at the cottage. *There is a washer/dryer that is available in unit, for stays of a week or more *Please do not charge your electric vehicles at the cottage. The outlets are not equipped to have that kind of electrical pull on the breakers in this size cottage. There are charging stations in Woodstock beside Sunflower Market. *We do not have windows coverings. When I am up in the woods I want to see the woods. Please do not use the linens and blankets in the cottage to drape across the windows. If this is something that is an issue for you, I understand but this may not be the listing for you.
