USING THE WOOD STOVE: Improper use of the stove can cause a fire! Please adhere to the rules below for safe use of the stove: 1. To start a fire place 1-2 fire starter sticks below 2 logs and light with long match. Close door partially, leaving a small gap. Once fully ignited, add wood as needed and close completely. 2. Use damper below door to adjust airflow; pulling out to increase flow and pushing in to restrict airflow. 3. Please do not overload the stove with wood! Burn just 2-3 logs at a time. 4. Before departure, please clean ash out of stove and place in the metal bucket located behind the stove. 5. If chimney fire occurs toss a cup of water in the stove and close the door. The steam will extinguish the fire. Guest access Guests have access the the entire property with the exception of the garage.
