The River Bend Suite—1 of 3 suites available for rent in Historic Hutch House—is set up for extended stays with a private entry, mini fridge, and microwave. Featuring a full wall of south-facing windows and a private outdoor seating area, River Bend features a queen bed with high thread-count linens, a smart TV with streaming access, an ensuite bath, and a kitchenette. All our suites come standard with contactless/keyless entry, free high-speed internet, and A/C. No breakfast is offered. Named one of the Top 50 Coolest Houses in Minnesota, the Historic Hutch House is a stunning home listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The 1892 Queen Anne Victorian is a boutique inn located just 40 minutes south of the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul) and blocks from the downtown district of Faribault, which is considered the second most historic in the state only after the capital city. The Hutch features keyless entry by way of a private entry. You alone have access to a beautiful outdoor stone patio. You can also spend time on the expansive wraparound front porch. The River Bend Suite is completely separate from the rest of the home, so you can come and go as you please. We'll be onsite if you need anything. We live onsite and will be available as needed. The Hutch (as we like to call it) has served as a private residence, a boarding house, and a bed and breakfast. Today, The Hutch is partially operated as a boutique inn and event space. We're just minutes away from so many things to do and see. Enjoy a short walk to historic downtown Faribault where you'll find plenty of restaurants, shops, and coffeehouses. Take a self-guided mural tour and try to spot all 8. There are 10 lakes and 8 golf courses within 10 miles. And did you know that the Tilt-a-Whirl was invented here? Interstate 35 to Highway 60 East. Turn south (right) on 4th Avenue NW. Turn east (left) on 2nd Street NW. Travel 1 block to Historic Hutch House. Free street parking is available on 3rd Ave NW.
