Description
A classic 1920s Maine bungalow lovingly renovated. Our pet-friendly plant-filled home is an Auburn favorite. Unwind in our sunlit yoga studio - ideal for meditation, painting, or movement. Whisper-quiet heat-pump HVAC plus a hybrid water heater for eco-friendly comfort. Enjoy the rewilded pollinator garden of native Maine blooms. 5 min to Bates & St. Mary’s, 40 min to Portland, Brunswick, Bath, and Freeport. Stays of 14+ nights include complimentary weekly cleaning. The space Historic charm, modern comfort Our 100-year-old duplex blends original woodwork with fresh finishes and fast Wi-Fi. Access & parking A rustic hardwood footpath leads from the driveway to the porch. It’s beautiful but steep and can be slick after rain or snow—please watch your step. In winter we strongly recommend an AWD/4WD vehicle. Light & privacy The yoga studio and kitchen have minimal window coverings so our plants—and you—get plenty of sunshine. Bedrooms feature blackout shades for restful sleep. Climate control Whisper-quiet heat-pump HVAC heats the home year-round. In summer, bedroom window units and ceiling fans add an extra chill. Nature & neighbors You may spot the occasional ant (common in Maine); eco-friendly traps are in place. We’re in a walkable neighborhood—not remote—so you’ll see nearby homes. Water pressure Auburn’s water comes from Lake Auburn. During late-summer or winter the pressure can dip significantly. Guests & kids Only registered guests are permitted on the property. Children are welcome, though the space isn’t child-proofed—let us know if you need a pack-’n-play or outlet covers. Guest access You can use everything on the first floor. The basement or attic are not available.
