Welcome to “Rainbow Ridge” -our mountain home that sits on 6 six acres at 4,000ft elevation. This 4 br/4 ba home sleeps up to 12 and is the perfect place to unwind and connect with nature. You might spot a curious deer wandering by or catch a distant storm rolling across the sky—all without a neighbor in sight. Enjoy a spacious, fenced yard perfect for pets or play, and have fun in the detached game room featuring air hockey, foosball, arcade games, and more. The space Rainbow Ridge is a two-level mountain home with a detached game room located on 6 acres in the Pisgah National Forest-just 30 min from Boone, Banner Elk, and Blowing Rock. When you arrive, you will see the game room and garage first. Turn left down the driveway to get to the front door of the main house. The first floor of our home includes a spacious kitchen that opens to the living room and dining room. There is a bathroom with a shower along with a cozy, bedroom that sleeps 2. The laundry room is also on the first floor, where we have everything you need to wash your clothes. On the second floor, we have three bedrooms and two full baths. The first bedroom sleeps four with a queen bed and a twin trundle bed. The next bedroom has a bunk bed/trundle that sleeps three. The main bedroom features a king size bed and a sitting area where you can kick back, relax and enjoy the mountain views. The main bedroom also opens to the upper deck where the 4 person hot tub is located. The wrap around deck extends to the back of the game room and has ramp access to the large, fenced-in yard. The bottom deck features a gas grill, a large table with picnic seating and chairs, a rocker, and gas fire table for nights when the winds aren’t too strong! The detached game room has fun for everyone! TV, Air hockey, foosball table, arcade games and more! There is also a full bath and a sofa bed that can sleep 1-2 people. Both the porch and upstairs balcony are gated on either side, perfect for keeping kids and dogs safe while enjoying the fresh mountain air. We’re proud to be a certified butterfly garden and official Monarch Waystation. We have an abundance of mint that you are welcome to pick! In the fall, apples are usually available to pick-so long as you get them before the bears do! Guest access Guests have full access to the main house, the detached game room, and all six acres of our property. Please note that the barns and garage are closed to guests. For your convenience, there is ramp access at both the front door and the upper-level deck. We kindly ask that you stay within the property boundaries, as we’re surrounded by private land. Signs are posted to help guide you. Other things to note Getting Here: The last few miles to Rainbow Ridge are windy, gravel roads. AWD or 4WD is strongly recommended year-round, and required in winter due to snow and ice. Staying on Property: Guests must remain within Rainbow Ridge property boundaries (outlined in your check-in letter). Please do not explore beyond our land—neighboring properties are privately owned and security-monitored. Pets: Dogs are welcome with prior approval before booking. We provide freshly washed pet beds and welcome treats for your pup! Cleanliness: All linens—including comforters and decorative shams—are washed for every stay. Rugs are also cleaned between each visit. Safety: Exterior security cameras are located around the property. Due to frequent high winds, fires are not permitted anywhere on the property, however guests may use the gas fire table on the bottom deck when winds permit. Extras: Our home features artwork by talented local artists! Be sure to check out our upstairs “Make a Wish” box—drop a seedle ball from the balcony and help us grow wildflowers for pollinators!
