Welcome to your own 3.3 acre private oasis in the heart of the hi-desert near Joshua Tree National Park! Nestled against a privately-owned hill with hundreds of boulders, our Airbnb is the perfect getaway for those seeking a peaceful and rejuvenating escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Pool can be heated at additional cost (see description). The space As you arrive, you'll be greeted by the breathtaking scenery of the desert landscape, with sweeping views of the valley, rugged mountains, and hundreds of boulders. The home is situated at the end of a street and backed up against the hill. You have the safety of other neighbors, close access to grocery stores and restaurants, and on-site Joshua trees and boulders. Our cozy and stylishly decorated accommodation features everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay, including two plush California King-sized beds, a fully equipped kitchen, and various outdoor spaces to relax. Bask in the golden sunlight by day, and watch the stars twinkle in the clear night sky. Take a leisurely stroll through the surrounding wilderness, and marvel at the incredible rock formations and wildlife that call our property unique home. For those seeking adventure, the nearby Joshua Tree National Park offers endless opportunities for hiking, rock climbing, and exploring the rugged terrain. Or, simply relax in the comfort of our Airbnb and let the soothing sounds of birdsongs wash over you. We own half of the mountain backed against the property but scrambling and climbing not endorsed for safety reasons. The pool heating equipment was installed in December 2023. Pool heating can be provided at an extra charge to cover extra propane costs: $200/day (November - March), $175/day (April-May), $90/day (June-August) $135/day (September-October). Must heat for a minimum of two nights. The propane company charges $21.78hr to heat to the pool and it is heated to approximately 80 degrees. Please notify us at least 24 hrs in advance. Guest access The main home, front and back yard are accessible to guests. Two separate storage sheds are off limits. Other things to note After 2 guests, there is an extra fee of $20 guest/night (+ occupancy tax and platform fee). The pricing will be reflected automatically if you input the correct number of guests before booking. The number of guests can also be changed after booking and will be charged via the platform accordingly. The pool/hot tub cleaning tech comes twice a week, usually on Monday and Thursday, usually in the morning. They do not let us pick the specific time due to route scheduling. Most listings get serviced once a week but we've opted for twice a week to optimize your experience. Please let them do their jobs as it is for your benefit. Each visit usually takes 15 minutes. Please rinse off before and after getting into the hot tub. Leftover lotion, shampoo, and detergent will damage the equipment. Do not add bath bombs, bubble bath, or other unauthorized additive to the hot tub please. Any signs of additive will result in an extra cleaning fee of $75. Hot tub chemicals are checked and balanced in between each stay. The pool is unfenced to optimize your view. A water source in the desert is going to attract wildlife - we will have a manual skimmer available for guest use. Guest agrees to release, indemnify, hold harmless and forever discharge Host and Host's employees, agents, successors and assigns from any and all claims, liabilities or causes of action of any kind that guest, members of guest's household or guest's guests or invitees may have at any time against Host or Host's agents resulting from guest's use of the pool and spa. Enjoy at your own risk. FIRE PIT We have a low-smoke wood-burning fire pit perfect for roasting s’mores year-round. Please do not build a campfire outside of the pit and MAKE SURE the ember catcher is placed on top to curb loose embers. Fires in the desert are very common. Please be extra cautious to prevent wildfires. Please supervise and cut out the fire before leaving the backyard. A fire extinguisher is available and on the porch near the fire pit. Wood is not provided. PET We are a pet friendly home but they must be house-trained and stay off of all furniture.. There is an extra charge of $75 - please put in the listing request that you will be bringing a pet. Please inform us in advance so that our team can prepare. We ask that you please pick up after them and don’t allow them to chew on the furniture. Please do not leave your pet unsupervised indoor or outdoor. We are backed against the mountain and there are other wildlife, include a coyote, hares, birds, squirrels and other animals. CAMERA We have one camera at the front of the house, above the door and pointing towards the driveway. Nothing looks into private spaces and the cameras are used for yours and the property's safety and are always on. UNXPECTED INCIDENTS/DAMAGE Accidents happen. If anything gets broken, please reach out to us immediately so we can address the need during your stay or fix it for the next guests. ANT HILLS & ANIMALS There are 2-3 ant hills along the driveway. We've never had any issues with them entering the house but ask that you refrain from leaving food or crumbs in the backyard, porch, or pool areas. We do not have any plans to exterminate the ant hills because they haven't harmed anyone. With 3.3 acres of land, there are bound to be wildlife and if they're not causing harm we'd like to leave them as is. Thank you for your understanding.
